| Some ecchi scene are toned down, if you don't care about that then you are good to go. I like it a lot so far, the romance trope parody is close to Kaguya-sama, very underrated. |

| They cut some scenes from the first chapter so far, but I don't think they removed much else yet. As someone who's read a bit of the manga and am also watching the anime, I've enjoyed both tbh. |

| People are overreacting a bit but it's understandable. Manga looks glorious and it has that loveable, kinda erotic feel to it (for obvious reason) with focus on lips, body language, etc. It's hard to explain but when Lily does her "cute girl" quirks it has "impact" in the manga and it's far weaker in the anime. In general it feels like it's just "less" and "toned down". It's understandable and totally expected that art will be downgraded for anime adaptation but a lot of its "charm" is gone too. Not all of it but a lot. Then you have comparisons to other series of this season that are far more faithful to their edgier mangas. This series is supposed to have some of that "edge", too - at least certain scenes so people might be disappointed that other series can do it and this one can't. It's still a fairy decent rom-com, especially if you don't know the source. |
| Think one of its problem is, that the story in the manga really picks up pace around chapter 40 - which most likley won't be covered in season 1. The first 30 chapters are swining between Comedy, Slice Of Life, Action, RomCom, this and that - I can understand if this confuses new viewer - maybe the mangaka was trying to experience with some different kind of genres in the beginning of the story. After the first 30 chapters the series really found its tone and it gets more story-driven and capitivating. I think this show had need a 24-episode season or a second season, so that people can see how much potential it has. Take for example todays episode. Its the second-to-last episode, so almost the anime's finale, but in the manga, this is only the start for a much longer and exciting plot lore. |
