Sometimes Crunchyroll/funimation just takes a week break during dubbing. The main issue with this is the they never say when nor why they do it. They most likely have the episode recorded and my guess is that they’ll release it next week instead.
Bottom tier tomozaki is not the only series effected by the a good amount other shows was effected by this as well this week.

@MazeCuber that is truly peculiar since they are... well if ep6 had come out on time... they would only be 2 weeks behind Japan's broadcasting. Funi-Roll usually waits THREE weeks to get their dubs rolled out, but for Tomozaki they only waited 2. let me check the more popular title... Solo Leveling's dub is up to ep6 this week and with this week's 7.5 in Japan that makes Funi-Roll 2 weeks behind on that one too. so maybe FC is getting... faster? with their dubs? let me check Apothecary Diaries... yup ep18 dub is up today... sub on that one is at ep... 20. so two weeks on that one too. huh. that's neat, i hadn't dug into the new 'delays' recently.

well i'm only watching Tomozaki and Apothecary in dubs this season because... i don't particularly care for either show enough to stay 100% up-to date on them... heck i only picked Apothecary up after a fellow 'Case Closed' fan i'm an online acquaintance with hit me up with, 'hey, new mystery solving show. and it is set in ancient china!' i usually 'stream' subs for about 80% of the shows each season i'm interested in for over 20 years now.

i've been following and watching Funi since... well since they were a startup and putting out Dragonball. also, before Funimation Now existed. i remember day one when CartoonNetwork started up their Toonami block and was pumping English dub anime out left n right... so i was as happy as a clam to not be surfing the grey web as much for fansubs, cracked DVDs of Edubs, and saving all my cash for Funi's DVDs.

Funi has been pretty spot on, except for covid of course. whereas Sentai Filmworks always takes for.ev.errrr. on their dubs, months at a time. Crunchy... i didn't catch them till months after they went legit. so this is the first i'm ever hearing FC taking a week off for 'unknown reasons'. sure, Simulcast dubs ALWAYS fail sometime! i remember waiting MONTHS for Fire Force dubbed episodes or when My Hero Academia episodes would 'poof' for weeks on end. but Funi ALWAYS had a blog up on their website listing release dates for dubs even BEFORE covid caused Funi to create 'DubFromHome'.

but now? i seriously HATE Crunchy's Simulcast Calendar page. it is always late, sometimes days behind... and their newspage, BLECK! :P i didn't find out about the Edub 4th Season of Natsume's Book of Friends FINALLY hitting FC till DAYS after the premier... and that was because the 'streaming site' i use had it pop up on their main-page when i came home from work and logged in.

i REALLY REALLY miss the days when Funi and Crunchy were separate entities. the buyout and merger is wonderful and all, biggest library of anime on Earth outside of Japan blablabla... but Crunchy's website VS Funimation's website? no comparison, Funi was tops and Crunchy was BLECK! :P and still pretty much is.

what other shows' Edubs have been delayed?
also, thanks for the reply! as i mentioned in the OP... nobody replied on the Tomozaki ep6 thread. :D

Crunchyroll/Funimations dubs have been really good at dropping their dubs 2-3 weeks after the Japanese broadcast begin, (with a few exceptions for this season being ‘Metallic Rouge’ and ‘The Weakest Tamer Began A Journey To Pick Up Trash.’ Whose dubs come same day and time as the Japanese does)
Yes Sendai tends to take their sweet time getting their dubs out. But I think they usually get the dub out shortly after the show has concluded, or if it’s a sequel season, then about the end of the broadcast. This is not a system they follows they has just been the case for some of the shows I’ve seen that they dubbed.

This did not affect some dubs being:
Solo leveling
Classroom of the elite season 3
The apothecary Diaries
Frieren: beyond journey’s end

I don’t have the full list of other shows whose dubs where I effected but I know it happened to these:
Hokkaido Girls are super adorable.
Banished from the hero’s party season 2
Bucchigiri
Wroung way to use healing magic.
A sign of affection
Tales of wedding rings

I have been actively keeping a look for some of these (even though I don’t watch all of them.) and the dubs took a break on Saturday the 17th and have started again on Saturday the 24th. So I’d say it’s safe du assume the dubs are back again.

Hopes this helps, not every one care for dubs or even the official source updates on anything so it’s a lot of private investigation.

(This makes it look like I only watch dub which is not the case I’m just a big nerd when it comes to dubs)
