Why didn't Tokyo Mew Mew have much of shopping, jewelry, fashion, and makeup?

I noticed Sailor Moon had more of that stuff, while with Tokyo Mew Mew, I don't remember jewelry really being in it, shopping felt like it was hardly in it, fashion wasn't as big a part, and it felt like makeup was hardly in it either. Even when they weren't saving the world or working at a cafe, they didn't really have much of that. I know environmentalism is a big part of the series, but even when we saw them in their daily lives, they didn't really do that stuff much
