Alicia was a non-factor the entire time.
If she wasn't in the show, it would have zero impact on the plot lmao.
Not just her to be clear, I'm not hating on her specifically, but her merry band of heroes as well were nothing more than a plot device early on; Ed could've been replaced by the original headmaster as the antagonist and the show wouldn't change at all.
Just my 2 cents lmao

I liked how the story started. But as the story continued, especially the ending. I can only question why this story and anime adaption even exists.

I'm wondering if the ending was rushed. I question why specific characters even exist in the story. I'm very confused with how things got to be the way they ended up.

I liked everything so much I'd have it as a runner up for a favourite BUT the ending ruined that for me. There was simply too few episodes for a good wrapup so that ending was just...unemotional. Rushed, short, compacted, anticlimax whatever you want to call it. A 13 season with a OVA or two wholda made a world of difference.

The change they made from the LN with the whole purpose of redeeming Alicia, William, and Oswald was horrible and honestly made the ending really dumb for me. Alicia always was meant to be not a real heroine. The discussion of associating light with good and black with bad was completely ruined here. So, I hated her more with this change because she was even more pathetic and pointless.
