Yeah I used to like this manga but the more I read it the more controlling and insecure Hananoi is and Hotaru is not any better she is such a pushover and lets him basically run the course of her life with who she can and can't be friends with. Sure Yao-Kun had feelings for her but he also got the memo and respected their relationship once he saw he had no chance, while Hananoi-kun is still the same as always. Seeing everyone as a threat, like dude she can have guy friends, that doesn't mean everyone has an ulterior motive. Sure in some cases platonic friendships can lead to romantic feelings but each person should know their own limits and if they don't it says more about the person you're with than the person they are friends with. But those are just my two cents, I wont do things that may make my person feel insecure about our relationship but they should at least have enough confidence for me to have friends with people of the opposite sex.
