Time to burn our Cosmo one last time! In this season, at least. ;p

Wow, as the ending theme of this show goes: "Believe me, I'm speechless". Wonderful finale of this marvelous arc. It might be my favorite version of the Sanctuary arc's finale in general. Just as in the previous episodes, it perfectly mixes the original story known from the manga with the anime original elements introduced in the CGI animated adaptation. No one was left behind even in the last episode (vide the scene with Jabu and everyone putting all their strength into not letting the Scepter fall).

The scene with everyone sharing their hopes and Cosmo with Seiya, and repeating his name in the process, might be put into books as one of the examples of what "the essence of the shounen genre" looks like in an anime, if you ask me. Kino.

So, in short, it was a great final episode concluding the iconic story arc. The whole "Battle for Sanctuary" was spectacular in how it could turn something that didn't start promising (the CGI reboot) into a very cool show giving justice to the legacy it had to face. The former element was surely a nuisance. You know, to make all the weird changes from the first season of the CGI KotZ make sense, but the latter could've been even a bigger problem. After all, it's always hard to live up to expectations, and it is even harder when you are to be compared with the absolute classic.

Everyone working on this show proved that the CGI reboot has had potential from the very beginning. It just had to be handled well, with care and by people understanding what Saint Seiya is truly about. :) For that I thank everyone who worked on Battle for Sanctuary's both seasons and I tip my hat to them.

Oh, and I recommend watching this episode till the end. There is a post-credit scene that will surely make happy a lot of people who have enjoyed the show so far.

i liked the second half of this final episode an was surprised to see that its left the possibility for a poseidon arc, tou know? itd be funny if we actually got a Next Dimension Netflix adaptation instead of a proper anime adaptation, i think that Seiyas final attack was cooler in the OG anime, the way his armour reduced to ashes after unleashing his attack

this is not a good remake but somehow, for some weird reason its good enough for me to be entertained by it, the fights are averag, the attack lack impact but for some reason i kinda like it

Thus the story of Sanctuary ends with the defeat of Saga, the triumph of Seiya and the revival of Athena, the way everyone lent Seiya some of their power to unleash a multiple 7th sense cosmo was the highlight of the episode.

Here's some hope that the Poseidon and Asgard arcs might get adapted in the future.

@maxiusagi
It's don't change Asgard is the best arc in original TV serie and the best Filler arc ever made (and in fact Bluegraad is based on the idea of the Asgard movie, like Hades was based on Abel movie idea and manga saintia Sho on Eris movie).

Saint Seiya is like sailormoon, the manga and anime are so different and took themself inspiration from each other that it's hard to really call something a filler (I should have use anime original).

This didn't suck like the first season but still wasn't nearly as good as the original, so I don't know my feeling for this rn

The 86 anime was not the original, it was in many point less faithful to the original source that this new adaptation. Some part and some part of the battle of sanctuary are better than into 86.
Aphrodite fight is way better than the original. In the first part, it was the same for Aiolia vs seiya.
Deathmask fight too tend to be better than original. And it's the same for this last fight and this final.
And most of the original content was great
Sure, Shura and Shaka fight were big disapointment abd the OST was lacking but...

Best ending of epic storyline. They handled it very well and give satisfactory explanation about Saga and provide great closure.

I remember original anime ending is not as complete as this one.
