Was the screen cropped for anyone else in the cinema?

When I saw this movie in the cinema, the screen was cropped. This wasn't too noticeable until parts of the characters faces were cut off when they were talking, the subtitles (for signs, luckily I watched a dubbed screening) were partially cut off, and characters' names were sometimes entirely cut off. Was this how the movie was released, or just how the cinema I went to played the movie?

I saw it yesterday in sub and it wasn’t cropped so I would guess it’s just your cinema unless there was an issue with the dub versions
