This is the first part of the article I plan to write. Please leave a treasurable comment this helps a lot. If this article end up having a good reputation I will finish up the second part and post it.
This article is literally a spoiler for the ones who haven't played the game.
Part 1. Vocabulary
1. TE: true ending
2. NE: normal ending
3. uwaki: the kanji for uwaki is 浮気. It can be partially understood as cheating in a relationship.
4. IC: introductory chapter. this chapter take place in high school.
5.CC: closing chapter. this chapter take place 3 years later than IC.
6. coda: the final chapter. this chapter take place 5 years later than IC.
Part 2. Introduction
White Album 2 is the highest rating and the most successful visual novel. The game is divided into three chapters: introductory chapter(the chapter of high school, which is the part the anime adapted), closing chapter(the chapter of university) and coda(the chapter of society). This article is going to discuss closing chapter.
Background of CC:Setsuna and Haruki entered the same university, but they are in different houses. Haruki is still in love with Touma, he couldn't forget Touma. This is a really important setting. Haruki does part-time jobs. He is a part-time tutor, and a part-time newspaper staff.
Characters(I am going to ignore the characters in IC).
1. Izumi Chiaki. She is in the same house as Haruki, and she became interested in Haruki and his relationship with Touma and Setsuna after watching their LIVE in school culture festival in high school.
2. Yata Mihoko. She is a grade 12 student and she goes to the cram school Haruki works at. She has romantic feelings for Haruki, but got rejecterd.
3. Sugiura Koharu. She is a grade 12 student, Yata Mihoko's friend.
4. Hazaoka Mari. She is Haruki's superior at the newspaper office.
The routes in closing chapter.
1. Izumi NE
2. Izumi TE
3. Mari's route
4. Koharu's route
5. Lop in the waist route(I gave it this name because it ended so quickly)
6. Single route(you don't meet favoribility prerequisite for any other routes)
7. Setsuna's route(only this route allows you to continue play coda chapter)
Note that Touma is absent in CC. So if you want to play Touma's routes(uwaki route and Touma TE), you have to play Setsuna's route.
Part 3. My personal route raking(only the routes in CC)
1st. Izumi TE
2nd. Koharu's Route
3rd. Setsuna's route
4th. Mari's route
5th. Single route
6th. Lop in the waist route
Part 4. Analysis of routes
First of all, the base of the routes of Chiaki, Mari and Koharu is
1. Setsuna couldn't heal the wound left in Haruki's heart. He had been missing Touma everyday(He confessed this himself to Mari in Mari's route), and he needs someone to help him drop this obssessiveness.
2. After experiencing all these, Haruki already realized that it is impossible to achive a happy ending that can satisfy everyone, so he can only choose to protect the one he wants to protect the most.
3. Setsuna kicked Haruki off the hotel bed:(

As much as I hate Setsuna and also hate Haruki a little bit, this VN have stuck on my mind. Personally, I think IC is 10/10, though CC is 8/10. I'd say finish it, although I never went on Setsuna's route since I hate her too much.

@VivaceRex I know. Setsuna is insanely smart. She knows everything all the time. She knows Haruki can’t forget Touma, she knows Haruki is lying to her all the time. And in other routes she knows how Haruki cheats on her. This is why Setsuna is a great person. She forgives Haruki every time she got betrayed, for example in coda chapter, Touma NE, and in Koharu’s route, she waves to goodbye Haruki when he passes by the window but she cries when Koharu walks by the window. She is always so nice and gentle and tolerant to Haruki. However, I choose Touma.
