Looks like Akira had to face his past from four years ago. This was a time when he was a hitman so it's a nice touch to see more of his background story.

Got some action among the criminal underworld...and it didn't look pretty. Yeah, this anime reminds me that no place is safe with shady characters running around.

Time for Mr. Pervert to get what he deserves.

So glad Misaki changed her lock and Mr. Pervert's key didn't work. Fucking weirdo had a taser, duct tape, camera and A ROPE... these detectives or whatever they are need to hurry up and make quick work of him already smh. Had a bar fight this episode with that dude from the other episode. Was a nice gun fight. Outsmarting the enemy is always satisfying.

Poor Akira though. Dude stayed up all night drawing those just for these dudes to make fun of them. Those are fridge worthy drawings tbh. Then we got Mr. Pervert over here thinking because he knows judo and such he beat THE Fable... good luck pal. And speaking of perverts, Tsundere-chan's "brother" over here calling Akira a pervert for legit just asking if she was okay ONCE.

Mr. Pervert's done for now. Can't wait to see his downfall next episode.

Yoko managing to provide Akira with Hinako Saba's cases, in which he dealt with some of them himself, there's definitely a case of semblance within the rouse. But Kainuma still wants to fetish over Misaki, which thankfully she has changed her lock, but has to come across in the target of Isaki to understand what was going on. As more gang members want any and all infomation on the Fable. Sunagawa's hire going for Suzuki, he has no chance of winning against someone like him. The sarcasm of Akira looking onwards to Hinako, as much as Sunagawa is pleased that the organization has helped him clear of dead weight.

Hah, Akira is proving himself to be a funny artist, though he also drew one of Misaki himself, that doesn't actually look all that bad despite its lameness. Suzuki getting wind of Akira because he's taking care of Hinako as her brother, he's just there to cheer on her rehabilitation, which Suzuki finds it all the more disgusted that someone like Akira is stalking her. With utsubo and Isaki gaining entrance to Misaki's place through a faux pas job description, they're essentially doing Akira's job for free to scout on Kainuma.

Who is this Hinako...she's clearly a double-faced spy agent for Utsubo.

Rest in piss, Sunagawa's lackeys. You went out like glorified jobbers. Your entire purpose as characters was to put over Fable and Dio.
Speaking of Dio, he's declared himself the wheelchair girl's Onii-chan. I'm excited to see where the story between him, Fable, and Hinako goes.
Fable's drawn another picture of Misaki... She's got clothes this time. Unfortunately, Hentai-kun and Rei Utsubo are both making moves against her. This girl just can't catch a break.

Every episode I have to remember Akira isn't a good guy. He's not a hero but he does seem to be changing.... maybe?

He kicked you and you didn't defend yourself? "no, don't underestimate a professional"

I had 2 interpretations, the professional was the guy who kicked (in fact he was) or/and he was a professional (in fact he is), which of the two did he mean? or is it both?

man Misaki can’t catch a break can she, even if Kainuma is taken care of I imagine these new villains aren’t going to leave her alone; this show still is probably my favorite currently airing show so it sucks it isn’t getting much attention

@Hearthos Akira meant that he let Dio kick him, and react as a normal person would. He sensed that Dio was a hitman closer to his skill level, so he took the kick as to not tip Dio off. In this case, either interpretation works, just that Akira is a better pro than Dio.

I love this show, but I couldn't even wait after finishing this episode to mention just how god awful the animation and drawing is looking. I do believe it's the worst yet, aesthetically at least.

I hope this doesn't continue, its so dam distracting and underwhelming. Good god.. this is one example, but I could mark 5 other instances where the animation quality had me scratching my head.

There comes a certain point where we have to hold Misaki accountable, surely past experiences would’ve taught her to be somewhat cautious of strange man.

I miss the forest arc already :(

the new characters from this arc are pretty interesting but man the victim is again Misaki? Is she the only pretty girl in that neighborhood or something? Kinda annoying tbh

Won't lie, this reoccurring setup of targeting and eventually having to rescue Misaki is already getting annoying. I'm already not a big fan of the damsel in distress, but repeated usage only makes it worse. Surely, this girl will learn from her past mistakes and do a better job at protecting herself in the future. Hopefully, this arc is the last where this same setup happens, right 🤨. Some back story of Akira was pretty nice though.

@Kamquat420

I absolutely agree. I am a little disappointed that the writer would have Misaki commit such a mistake. After what she went through you would think Misaki would be a lot more cautious. As a relatively prominent character in this story, this manner of writing is not so compelling to me. I guess some folks could enjoy the drama and perhaps enjoy seeing women abused, but I don't really find that at all exciting coming from this particular show.

Incidentally I did skim through parts of the manga earlier and I know to some degree this feeling is worse there; for example in the manga Misaki actually did end up giving the random thug a blow job.. so before her rescue she was essentially raped. And as for the crippled girl she's regularly abused too; we can see that the psychopath killer she "works" for beds her habitually. The adaptation thankfully glosses over scenes like this unlike the source material and so we see our characters in less awful situations.

I think to many viewers this is probably not a big deal at all and I am sure some of you think I am talking utter nonsense. Well I simply dislike watching cruelty.. specially cruelty inflicted on the innocent. I don't mind it when it contributes to a greater narrative, but cruelty for the sake of cruelty is weak writing imo. So I think pushing this plot device for further shock value at the expense of characters like Misaki is underwhelming as a whole.

Also as @BthatTVK mentions the reoccurring set up of rescuing the girl can only stay interesting for so long. They need to get to the meat of things asap or at the very least dig into some backstories of the main characters. Or how about we see some further developments in character relations? That would be nice. Finally as I mentioned in a post above.. they need to bring back the animation back to sensible levels. It was awful this episode. Really.

Can't believe Misaki is so stupid..and after being forced in previous episodes.. letting in someone she doesn't know leaving them alone so many times? and she doesn't have phone at home or smartphone? why she had to leave the room for the call?
I guess she deserves it this time.. I pitied her last time, but now...

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

Misaki just let two random suits in her apartment because of a piece of paper that doesnt even look remotely legit? I mean sure a lot of people could fall for someone claiming authority but you would think after having to deal with what she went through she would be more cautious.

Privacy for her and who she is talking to. A lot of people do that but it likely is even more common in Japan.

At least in the version with the subtitles I watched, Youko asked him "Huh? You couldn't block it?" And he responds "I didn't block it. Don't underestimate a pro."

Meaning that he intentionally chose not to block it because he wanted to allow himself to be hit. The reason I can only surmise being that he wanted to assess the person doing it which he can do through physical contact, to see what was the strength/style/etc. of the kick. And in so doing he's able to infer just from that basic info that the guy is also a pro-hitman.

Poor Misaki... I really wanted to say that. I can't believe a single woman living alone in a city can be this naive and stupid... especially what she went through not too long ago. I'm not sure if Akira can save her this time, not until some bad shit already happened to her like last time at least.

I think the drawing ability has decreased from before.
The script is still interesting, but "Fable'"’s face is different from scene to scene. I wish the staff would work a little harder.

Was this the worst episode animation-wise? I think it was...

Also will Misaki ever stop being sexually harassed? Her storyline sure is getting repetitive now.

best bit was the staff laughing at his drawings.

I am currently rewatching the series after discovering it has been dubbed. I noticed one of the characters commenting that Kuro dated Misaki? Kuro is the blonde guy who wants to be Akira's apprentice, right? He dated Misaki?
