I would say the anime adaptation has quite a fast pace. There are plenty of chapters yet to adapt, but after watching the last episode, it seems like they have concluded the story. What do you all think?

Yeah, I don't think they ever intended to do more than these 12 episodes. Which is kinda baffling when the manga was completed before the anime was even announced iirc. Less value in using the anime as a promotional vehicle for the manga at that point. Should have made it two cours and a complete adaptation, not this abrupt anime-only ending.

The story was a boomerang of “will they or won’t they”, but I did come back every week to watch it, so I’d like another season.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@sleepyally This season adapts only the first five volumes. You can continue the story from the sixth volume.

story's more or less concluded with them actually going to marry each other so tbh the only thing they could do in a 12 episode sequel would be just to see the daily lives of them leading up to their marriage and if they need to make something real exciting would need to change the plot a bit by adding another person to complicate things, which would be insufferable to watch so hopefully that doesn't happen lol

a 1 cour side story would be neat tho for any of the other characters, really hoping Gonda gets too marry someone too!

@ajw215799 so you're telling me they cut the interesting stuff while having every episode flooded with scenes of the MCs being awkward as if we need reassurance they're awkward characters? yikes

I do not really need a second season. I think the main story was nicely finished. What I would like to see however is Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka: Gonda Alternative. I am sad he god that little screen time. I wish everything would work out for him. Despite the momentary faltering, he was ready to take the necessary responsibility. I would really love to see that play out.

@griddyweeb no, there’s still important character development to come for both MCs, especially Rika. But basically 90% of the main story is over despite having enough chapters for a Season 2

I don't think so. They will never give this a 2nd season due to it's popularity. I'm glad that I read this until the end far before the anime. So if they won't give us 2nd season I just fine.
