Why lower rating than S2?

I just finished binging the anime, I felt it kept getting increasingly better, and the harvest arc was very good imo. Did it not adapt well or something? Or do people just not fw it

it adapted the source too well, people just got board waiting every week to see not mc do stuff and stay in the forest all season.

I think it's mainly because it's not something serious like S2 it's more of a game they were doing. I do hope S4 continues the streak of amazingness though.

for me its bcs there wasnt much to see, the episodes felt too long and some scenes i straight up hate them for multiple reasons. S4 will be much better.

the pacing felt weird I don't know if it was too long or it went too fast at the end but it wasn't as great as the first two seasons hopefully season 4 does a better job

s3 wasn't great like s1 n s2
they've focused on only tht competition rather than main character's like previous eps
it felt like a drag stretching the same story to more eps, but it was good 👍

Huge pacing issues and direction errors. Lots of cool scenes were hung out to dry. Some of the problems are quite similar to Walter Park arc last season.

A tournament arc making up a whole season is always a trouble to handle if most things don't feel fresh.

For me it's one of those anime seasons where the point seems to be that the MC shall suffer. Never been a fan of those.
