| After watching episode 1, I'm not sure yet. It feels like a sequel, but the plot tells the story before S1. Guang is time traveling at least. |
| Assumptions incoming: An earlier time in Lu Guang's memory than season 1, the calendar time at the beginning of the episode the same point in time as the end of season 1 and the rest a calendar time five years earlier, a time we have only seen in memory flashbacks of the basketball game before. |

| I dont understand why people say its a prequel. Its obviously a sequel. Lu Guang time travelled into the past like he did many times before. We see the past but from Lu Guang's perspective these events are further than s1/s2. You can't watch this series before watching s2, so how can it be a prequel? Lol |

| It's probably fully fledged sequel side story. If you watch really intently looking for small details, it's not... one consistent timeline. You have one scene - and when camera changes angle, there are changes in the background. Like, they are standing in slightly different place. Like, on Cheng Xiaoshi's bed are different lump of clothes. Like, blood traces are different. Judging by scenes in ending, there are at least 6 different timelines already. Also, I heard pleasing theory. That it's so mashed up because what we see is what Ling Qiao saw when she first got her new ability from pink-haired girl. She saw what Lu Guang's been going through. So yes, if that's it, it's after season 2. |
