What's your opinion on the glass boxes that characters used to duel in during Duelist Kingdom?

Before the Battle City tournament, the characters dueled in glass boxes with much smaller holograms compared to the anime where they dueled in big arena platforms with much bigger holograms.

Was weird reading it for the first time coming from the anime. But it’s much more grounded in giving off a realistic feeling without the flashiness

I never saw the anime so I just found it so natural. Only later did I saw clips of the anime and was surprised with the whole Holographic stuff they have over there. I guess you could say the anime went for a more cinematic vibe perhaps.
