| Nice wholesome ending, we see kids so ~/+10 years had to pass and Navi winning was in the end obvious outcome. Only wish Manabu had a kid or at least one of the recognizable (former) students having one or being pregnant during fast forward showcase. Also I'm curious if Navi winning was planned from the start or just "safe ending" since Manabu didn't had to became dictator. Overall nice read, I enjoyed most of the story, there were weird choices like having stuff like "medica nation" or how Navigatoria's solar system was close to Earth but in retrospective seeing how Earth was meant to be destroyed those choices makes perfect sense even if they really lack subtlety "What about doctors?! Who will help sick humans and teach medicine? Don't worry, we have the best one from Medical Nation!". How serious could survive? Premise was really good, characters also had interesting dynamic and overall recognizable... so only better and more nuanced writing could save it (art also could be better). On fundamental level it is similar to Classroom Of The Elite, so maybe being more similar to this series would help? In the end I wish author luck with next series, I will definitely wait for it. Last 3rd volume will have 33 page extra chapter! |

| I saw this coming from a mile away. This manga was in the gutter from early on I'd argue; its plot was silly and it never cared to properly build on its lore, and at the end of the day the protagonist's role and goal was too ambiguous and unshaped as to carry the story cohesively. The entire thing ended up being pointless anyway because Navi became Navigatoria even though she was at most a major secondary character who got really little exposure. The setting was promising, but the plot was simply awful. However, the mangaka did start out very harshly with some truly crappy art style and ended the manga with a good and well-defined style that's up to the standard you'd expect from Jump. Well, rest in peace. Another one for the mass grave. |
