Moonrise Episode 17 Discussion

Bro Rhys is speedrunning on becoming one of my most disliked anime characters in the last few episodes. I genuinely hope the last episode ends with a bullet put in her brain. She is the definition of a Mary Sue with negative charisma, either acting like an emotionless piece of shit or blushing over Jacob. In last several episodes, she was able to outfight, outwit and outrun everyone by a large margin without any issues. Salamandra is a genetically engineered OP character who took down that counter terrorist unit and several protags before, but Rhys defeats her in 5 seconds. She also outwits the entire Rebel army with her plan, jumps over Jacob and Phil without them being able to do anything. And she does those stuff while acting like a smug piece of shit. Like am I supposed to be impressed by her changing her mind at the end? Sis, you've killed countless civilians by hacking those robots, sparing 1 girl doesn't change the fact that you are an evil, jealous, bootlicking piece of shit.

Georg is just as much of a piece of shit as her, alongside being spineless and stupid, don't get me wrong. But at least he doesn't possess a single other skill other than fighting good, and still even he couldn't defeat Salamandra. It's sad that such an interesting setting and amazing animation are tarnished by bottom of the barrel character writing.
