| not that they're that similar, but the plot reminded me of barefoot gen a bit when they adopt that kid that looks like his brother. It's like a year since I saw the anime for that, made me wanna go read the manga for it! this was an anime original right? although surprisingly seems like there was never a following manga adaptation of Daltanious, at least not on MAL. Maybe it just wasn't that popular. Idunno tho, the comments on those youtube official uploads suggest it was and was localised into many different languages and territories...so I'd assume it was at least decently popular. pretty heavy and great episode tho! idunno if it's just this anime is super under rated or a ton of retro mecha are this good and the whole genre is! |
