| Speed Racer first came out in manga 1966 then later the anime 1967. Meanwhile, in the west "Wacky Races" released by Hanna-Barbera 1968! Wow, one whole year after the release of the anime, no wonder how similar these two are! Crazy! |
Without Western animators, there would be no anime today. |

That’s crazy and Speed Racer is the only anime airing on MeTv Toons!!
| United States has it pretty good with MeTv Toons. Black (and White) Friday would be the only thing i'd watch if i was an american though. America loves taking ideas from japan though, like Star Blazers: The Quest for Iscandar which came out 3 years before Star Wars. And Kimba the white lion to many decades later the Lion king, to just name a few, pretty Wacky if you ask me. |
