His time at the orphanage could have been longer. We don't see the pair together long enough to truly feel much when she departs. We should have seen a little bit more sponsorship gifts and reactions to them too. Really build up the connection before he decides to leave. The journey goes a lot faster than I thought it would. It was practically a timelapse and then half of a chapter of chasing. Then the one miscommunication chase.
I personally thought it would take a bit more to track down where the letters come from. Seems almost effortless.
I loved actually arriving at the mansion though, but we only ever see the vacation home.
I also found it odd how much the Arbiter's court cared about the orphan, considering how humans are sold everywhere, treated like toys, and are even considered food. I personally thought it would be more like small claims except the territory owner can't voice that it isn't a big deal bc of the splintering or whatever.
I'd say, overall, the series is a 9/10 for me. 10/10 if it's adapted really well as an anime. My only REAL complaint is that there wasn't more.
