| Another anime with witch and magic this season. Looks like there's more and more this year than previous years. I find it funny how they protrayed the main girl Monica in this. Despite her talent, she has a childlike nature. Are we also getting random songs burst out like that this season? Lol...that came out of nowhere. I think it was an amusing episode despite the epic opener. And oh yeah, they had to have a black cat to meet the witch anime tropes. |

| Oh I mean, of course, the girl who barely has any physical traits to speak of, and barely even goes outside to see how green the grass and blue the sky is, the one we’re talking about here. She is the legend kids speak of… the silent witch. Though hey, I don’t dislike the reason behind her being one of the seven sages lol. The girl is awkward, but hey, you can’t be the main heroine and don’t want to do the stuff that is expected out of the main heroine, right? The whole thing with this mission and stuff is okay, but yeah, I’m just kinda looking forward to how soon Monica would get out of this. You see, the characters around her are just polar opposite of everything Monica’s entire character is about lol. Got the laughs, and hey, this looks damn well visually too, especially with how they went with the theme songs. Really looking forward to more. |
| Novelist Matsuri Isora's lone series, given the all-rounder of KonoSuba's veteran director Takaomi Kanasaki on directing, series composition and scriptwriting, as well as sound director, with Studio Gokumi given quite the animation upgrade thanks to Aniplex, this is already looking promising. The Kingdom of Ridil, where dragons reign supreme with the humans fighting back against its clamoring with the dragonraids, it's the duty of all. On the other hand, there's the lone girl of Monica Everett with her black cat familiar Nero living in the countryside, though she soon quivers at the thought of one of the villagers having exposed her before her colleague, which she's known as Silent Witch of the Seven Sages. The rather apt "Bocchi the Rock!" hitoribocchi girl of unlimited potential with her unchanted magecraft, where she's found by getting quite the surprise visit from her fellow colleague of the Barrier Mage Louis Millen and his contracted high wind spirit of maid Rynzbelfeld, Louis finds her for a quest to protect royalty, specifically the 2nd Prince Felix, though with his rather condescending look of protection. That's where Monica comes in because she doesn't fit the perils of high society with her plain looks, and no matter how she rejects it, Monica has no choice but to accept this dangerous quest. And her character: an adopted daughter of Count Kerbeck that serves the current daughter in slavery, in discreet to protect Prince Felix. The obnoxious daughter...or rather, the one acting in kindness, Isabelle Norton is quite the graceful only daughter of Count Kerbeck, and Monica's job as the Silent Witch proves fundamental with her one-and-only magecraft that's levels of genius...if only her personality can keep this up. Hitsujibungaku's theme song set for this will be great, and the OP proves this all the more. A VERY PROMISING START, Aniplex is cooking this Summer season! |

| Monica is a shy girl at the pinnacle of magic, living quietly in a secluded cabin deep in the woods. The Kingdom of Rydiru has seven powerful wizards known as the "Shichi Kenjin." Louis, one of the "Shichi Kenjin" from the Kingdom of Rydiru, asks Monica to secretly protect Prince Felix Arc Ridill, the second prince who attends the prestigious Serendia Academy, a gathering place for nobles. Although Monica tries hard to refuse, circumstances force her to reconsider due to her position as a "Shichi Kenjin." Additionally, I agree with Louis's reasoning because Monica is a small, cute girl, so many people might be deceived and not see her as a bodyguard. Nero tries to encourage Monica to be more enthusiastic in carrying out her duties as the second prince's bodyguard. I enjoyed the song that played while Monica was daydreaming; it was a dream alongside the pigs. I like Isabelle because she called Monica "Obasama," lol. I thought Isabelle was the type of villainess, but it turns out she is quite polite.  A dragon tried to attack Isabelle, but Monica easily saved her and then proceeded to defeat the other dragons with dazzling gate magic. I love the visuals of Monica's magic, accompanied by stunning background music. |

| This story's concept looks very good and interesting. A fantasy world with the main character, Monica, who is an introvert to the max and is indeed, a very silent witch and we are going learn about her secrets in the future 🙏. Very good first episode, it's funny, the ost is beautiful and the visuals are very good as well, excited to see where it goes with this story Monica is someone, even though she can probably protect herself well enough, that makes everyone who sees her want to protect her as well, like Bocchi. |

| Can’t believe my daughter’s finally animated! Waited on this day for so long. People are gonna fall in love with Monica for sure. I’m so excited for more people to become fans of this series. Our girl just wanted to life in peace in the countryside, absorbed in her books and here go Louis dragging her into a royal protection assignment 😂 This was a very good introduction episode for newcomers that established Monica’s personality, gave you an idea of how magic works in this world and set the tone for just how powerful Monica is. The title of “silent witch” tends to confuse people into thinking Monica doesn’t talk, but it’s just her incantations are silent. This is cool because it shows how peoples’ personalities directly impact their magic in this world. So in Monica’s case, she’s extremely shy and socially awkward, but she’s also a very strong and determined person and that reflects in the type of magic she casts. The dragon scene at the end really summed everything up well. They did that scene justice and the haunting OST was a perfect compliment to the scene. When Monica gets lost in casting her spells, it’s a thing of beauty. She’s most comfortable and at peace when she’s using her magic! Overall, great premiere, Louis is so funny, love how he and Monica get along in the anime, Monica’s faces were killing me all episode and I think people will have began to fall in love with her already. |

| I like how 75% of the whole episode was just them talking behind a table doing the exposition dump, but i like the concept too, and the main girl has her own charm even tho she barely talked in this first episode. Put her into an magic academy setting, and hilarity is for sure about to happen. |

| It's my most anticipated seasonal. More than the Bocchi the Rock comparisons, this is overpowered done right, as she is struggling socially, thereby negating her advantages. The visuals are at par with what I expected. The source material is peak, and so far, the anime has done it justice. In particular, there is a framing in the opening minutes that I love and makes more sense for those who have read the LN but looks innocent to those seeing the story for the first time. |

| This first episode was great, Monica is cute, shy, awkward and overall very likable protagonist. Animation is also great, I enjoyed it very much. Especially the battle scenes, so well animated. Music seems good as well, hopefully it will give us a track or two that we will remember for the ages. Only thing I am disliking so far is how the plot is basically imposed on her. While I do understand that she is shy and we need some way to get her to do the hero thing. But man, to force her into it like that is just... not ok. Other than that I was hyped for this as soon as I saw the trailer and I am not disappointed. Will watch this one for sure this anime season. |

| WOW, I'm so surprised by this anime. I'm just going to say it, this anime gives off so much Frieren vibes. The OSt, backgrounds and the random funny moments. I can see this being one of my favorite anime this season. Monica is so cute man and shy, makes me want to defend her even if shes stupid powerful. Her smiting all of those dragons was so cool and the animation for this anime is top tier. I'm so excited for the next episode, really enjoying this. 5/5 |

| Here for the pretty animation and visuals. Initially wasn't even interested but one of the trailers caught my eye and been sort of anticipating this since. Magic fantasy setting with a shy fmc. Not really a fan of the over the top socially awkard type of characters but she seems tolerable, kinda cute even. She's op and they really emphasized on the fact that she's the first ever to cast magic without incantation but it was infact Rudeus who did it before. Joking aside I won't be surprised if they introduced another character who can also do it and might even be a big baddie as well. The evil ojou sama is actually a really good hearted girl but she'll be taking this stint too far for sure lol. Also the cat started talking gave me a chuckle, should have seen that one coming. Animation, visuals were clean, specially that big majestic door scene. Background visuals were eyecandy as well. OP song visuals as well, the song was whatever though. Btw forgot to mention but that pig song was neat, would have been better if it was the op song. Also always great to have more Satou Rina. |

| A lot of very good comedy, an endearing main character, gorgeous animation, interesting and amusing side characters (Isabelle Norton in particular with how she's alternating between number one fangirl and evil ojou-sama is likely to be a very funny character going forward), nice ost, intriguing mysteries (why was that object broken if 'nothing happened'? for example) and world-building, plus a fantastic OP theme... Basically, this first episode made a very good impression on me. I didn't know what to expect at all going in, but now I'm already feeling that it might be one of my favorites this season :) |

I'm going to enjoy this one!  Meet Monica. A cute girl who's shy and reacts weirdly when she has to interact with people. Kinda like Komi in a way, but far more cute    However, she's way more powerful than you think. Everything went crazier for her since then, as usual. I'm liking this. It has green-eyed maids (the best maids) with personalities and opinions, though:  And the wife of the guy who started shifting Monica's story looks amazing. He doesn't take a no for an answer... Unless her wife says it. I'm going to love their dynamic.  |

| Isabelle alone made this episode a 10/10 for me, that was a lot of fun and that final attack with the celestial gate or whatever was super cool. |

| Two things were clear when Takaomi Kanasaki was brought on as chief director, series composer, sole scriptwriter, and sound director: the comedy was going to be a major focus, and the audio would be carefully handled. As expected from someone so tuned into sound, and with a team used to that style, we’re already seeing fun uses of BGM and some great voice direction. I’m curious to see if the other sides of this will land, since the comedy clicking felt like a given. The squirrel creature being funny is already a win though. |

| Probably this is my AotS yet, I laughed so much, basically it is Bocchi The Witch, she's so funny and kawaii and the vibes are good, the quality of animation and design is very good. |
