Today (july 28 2025) marks 1500 after the announcement of season 2 that was made back in june 19 2021. Has there been any official update since the announcement was made?
I didn't even watch season 1 because I want to start it right before season 2 airs so everything would be fresh in my mind. I didn't even watch Isekai Quartet for this thing. 😭

No official update but there was a misunderstanding that could still be a sign it's coming out in 2026. There was a trailer for a documentary about making season 2 a while back that mentioned the documentary's release date would be 2026 and people assumed they meant season 2 but that's not what it meant. It could be a sign though that it would release around the same time but who knows.

Re:zero : get’s 3 season as well, a announced 4th season, a movie ova, a chibi spinoff, a entire goddamn game. A VR game, two gacha games,
And a dozen of gacha collab’s as well

Overlord : god, overlord 4 seasons, 3 gacha games, a dosen seasons of ple ple pleiades episodes, and a upcoming movie, and a promised finale.

@Itachirulz1 Same. I wish all the best to the sequel and it finally getting released, however, it's been so long that I most likely won't watch it when it comes out. I liked both the first season and the movie, but not to the point of patiently waiting so long for their continuation. I guess that many people who really enjoyed the anime have already picked the light novel, lol.

at least the studio hasn't forgotten about it, cause they made many references about it in their original show "NegiPosi Angler". i think we have hope of it coming this decade.

That is the reason why I said LN or manga. I wasn't too sure where the manga was with it but added it anyway. I read only a little from the manga before I switched to the LN.

In some ways I'm kind of grateful that I can take my time and enjoy the other gorms of Youjo Senki, but man especially after the desert pasta OVA I really want to see more on the big screen.

Youjo Senki was one of my first Animes I ever watched, and got me into the Isekai genre!

I hope the next season will come soon, but hey if I can wait for Walpurgisnacht Rising to release this will be no problem

I believe it's simply because they're waiting for the source material to give them enough content to work with. Filler has mostly been abandoned in the current anime market, so it makes sense.

bro just watch it I've watched it 2 time already onece when it came out and I watched it again last year when my girlfriend broke up with me u won't regret watching it just do it I plan of watching it a couple more time before season 2
