Can’t believe everything was connected to a diamond. It’s crazy that the Medusa is made with technology beyond what we know in the 21st century. Since the diamond battery is blackened, I think it's safe to say it's because diamonds slowly turn into graphite, and the Medusa is speeding that up to get energy from it.

Also, yerppp, looks like Stanley is coming after them himself, flying the same old plane, but with the new Science Brigade’s logo removed. The ropeway project sounds super hard with the situation they’re in, but Senku and the others have shown many times that nothing is impossible for them, so they got this... hopefully.

That watch maker is such a character, i already like him, really interesting to finally see what the medusa is made of, glass,a diamond, circuits like a computer but impossible to be made in the 21th century, we know a lot and so little it's so frustrating !

Don't know how i feel about that global warming explanation, it was kind of funny and explanations for the very long winters they have in Japan in the future is always good to know, just felt a bit random i guess.

Last i'd say i wish we saw more of the desert,we're already at the door of the jungle forest which is probably gonna be pretty intense with Stanley right at their tail

Felt weirdly lost at the start like I'd missed an episode, but apparently not. And then there's.. SO MUCH crammed into just this one. Geez. From disassembling the Medusa to... making a basic-ass scale in the heart of the Andes. Lmao. Chelsea, pls...

On a very random note im starting to ship Gen with Chelsea.
I mean, think about it, a super manipulative overthinker always planning 3 steps ahead and the mosy blut, honest and direct person in the world, would make a cool ship dynamic 😅

I love Niki, she's a born leader and becomes the crew's substitute when Senkuu is away. Honestly, Magma makes me envious..... I wouldn't mind having Niki's thighs crushed either 😅.

The watchmaker is undeniably weird, but it was super helpful when it came to disassembling the Medusa. If the internal parts of the device are completely foreign to 21st century technology, then Whyman must have been a genius... maybe not even from this planet.

The chase continues! Stanley has recovered his plane and is on their trail - but how on earth will Senkuu build a gondola! Isn't it supposed to be anchored on both sides? With him, however, the impossible seems strangely normal. Still, I can't help but share Gen's reaction every time Senkuu throws out another crazy idea.

@Narizor Just what I was thinking. You need to work both sides to anchor the cables. Quite the challenge!

Remote work in the stone world doesn't sound too shabby.

Hoo boy. I wanna be strangled by Nikki's thick thighs too ngl.

A fax machine using Morse code is fucking crazy. It's crazy how much patience they have. Well, they do have their lives on the line so they have to work their asses off if they wanna live.

It's funny how fast they revive people and explain things to them and they immediately agree to help them. They don't even doubt if they're being tricked or if it's all just a prank because of how absurd everything is. Apparently, that watchmaker was the first one to have a "normal" reaction.

So the Medusa uses some type of battery? Other than that, I wonder how this scientific show would scientifically explain such an outlandish device.

Lmao, Luna really thought Senku and her were dating. Kinda disappointing tho. Ig Senku will die a virgin. Science is his real wife.

Medusa device is obviously have the lowest degree of scientific accuracy so I'm wondering how this anime will spin it to make it sounds scientific.

I just notice that Senku sleep alone in the desert. If I remember correctly desert at night is very cold, and that's why Senku should sleep near Tsukasa who has a warming fur with him, this is my scientific advice with no ulterior move at all.

Even in the stone world, the Japanese soul yearns for a fax machine 😂 making a manual fax machine is insane. I’m loving this season so much because it feels like a culmination of all the experience and challenges the team’s been through as we make our way to the epicenter of the petrification.

We’ve made ships, radar, motorcycles, tires, faxes, now we’re making a freaking ropeway to cross the Andes? This SHOULD be one of, if not the most difficult architectural feat for the group yet, so I can’t wait to see how they get that done. A lot of this is feeling fresh because the manga ended a while ago so I’m really enjoying seeing this play out.

I love how Nikki comments about how Joel is the first person to get revived and actually be nervous about being naked 😂 very fun new character, bold as hell go guys, but shy to girls. Pretty typical of young men tbh.

Not luna being delusional about her and Senku dating and being shy about her weight lol. We all stand with you girl don’t worry! Love her sm.

To think that the Medusa operated from a diamond of all things. It wasn't something I was expecting, but it was still intriguing to learn how it operated and how it could be fixed. Joel is an amusing addition to the cast, where he flips from talking like an arse to men, but then acts like a wet wipe whenever he's close to a woman.

Senku's group have gained a good distance now from Stanley, but it won't be long before he catches up again after he got the planes fixed and operating again. Not only that, but tackling the Andes Mountain range with the rear wheel driven bikes was always going to be a very tough obstacle for Senku's group to try and overcome.

Senku's plan to cross the Andes is ambitious, but hopefully it can be done before Stanley catches up.

a ropeway or cable car is a ridiculous idea. just use one of the bikes, attach a cylinder to the outside of the driving axle, elevate that end of the bike a smidge off the ground, and turn that bike into a 'winch'. put a block and tackle with enough tumblers and turns to quadruple or quintuple the force at the top of the slope and run the cable through it from the 'winch' back down the slope. once the 'hook' on the end is attached to a bike just drive the bike up the slope with the winch plus block and tackle to assist. once the last bike with the winch is left behind, just attach the hook to THAT bike and have it winch itself up the slope.

it is just like having an electric winch attached to the bumper of your car, SUV, 4-wheeler etc. move the winch from front or back bumpers depending on if you want to pull the vehicle forwards or backwards.

I wasn’t expecting this journey to the epicenter of the original stone wave to also involve the folks they left behind back in the corn city, honestly I also didn’t realize until now that they were planning to use the original Medusa weapon to combat Stanley lol, maybe that was said somewhere before and I just forgot. But it does make sense to be working with the people not on the grand journey across South America, this way they can understand how the Medusa device ticks (get it, because they revived a watch maker to take it apart lol) before they get to the original weapon. And the watch maker in question is Joel, the CEO ended up just telling us where he is and became irrelevant after that, but I like Joel so far, he has a unique design and he’s pretty funny with his differences in attitude towards men and women, bro just melts anytime a woman is nearby lol.

And it’s interesting to find out the Medusa device uses a diamond as a battery, no idea if that’s possible in real science or not but maybe it’ll make more sense the further it’s torn down, but it’s gonna be really rough to make a weapon like this make logical sense anyway lol. But besides just the Medusa discoveries, quite a bit happened on the road too, like making a manual fax machine and a scale, the manual fax machine looked tedious as hell but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do in the stone world lol, and Senku wants to make a gondola in the middle of the mountains with no materials? I’m sure they’re gonna do it but I have no idea how lol.

I also really liked the bit with Luna, she’s so sweet, I wish Senku had a romantic bone in his body but I guess it’s funnier this way, also Chelsea was pretty amusing here too, she’s still a bit too hyper for me but I enjoyed her trolling. Also Luna was definitely lying about her weight, she’s gotta be carrying a multitude of pounds in her butt alone lol.

@Ahohite-killer I feel like since they're technically silicate, they can, but it's complex in how you'd make it, which is going to come up, if you couldn't guess, given how this series does the trial and error + hard work method with stuff.

@TheColonel76 I feel like the manga may have gotten into it a bit more, but I feel like I also heard somewhere it isn't impossible. But it's like the concept that intelligent life could evolve via one of two bases in the known universe: carbon and silicon, we're the former, while sci fi has probably investigated the latter in some works over the decades

I like that they just kind of skimmed over those details as we saw them change up the bike riding composition, the manga actually does give the numbers for everyone's weight and technically you can deduce who the lightest are by relative comparison to who's on the other bikes, plus Francois and Suika on the boss bike, Suika definitely the lightest of everyone, while the lightest guy is probably Senkuu or Chrome

@Elysett Pink haired chick that dived was Homura, though you'd be forgiven for not remembering her, she only really had one moment of note early on in season...1 or 2? She was Hyoga's right hand girl that aided him with reconnaissance and was also really acrobatic. I honestly don't remember if this scene was in there, they may have expanded it a bit from the manga

@Marinate1016 A fax like they make is arguably applying telegraph technology they've already established, though the advancements in communication technology do kind of plateau after a certain point, iirc. The explanation from Chelsea about the currents and such had me curious about what I remembered, but I still need to see 10000 BC, where one moment did make a film reviewer online be gobsmacked: going from the rainforest to the desert (or vice versa). But if it was supposed to be in 10000 BC, such things might've been quite possible, especially in South America, maybe even Africa

For real they have like a 100 characters cast at this point holy fuck, they have so many characters that old ones turn into idle npcs in the background, like Tsukasa for example, they did such a big deal for him, 2 seasons only on him, and now he doesn't even talk. That Luna bitch too, and her 2 gooners, they talk just to say dumbass shit, they never even got to develop.
This shit is around it's final arc (as far as I know), if it's not already in it, and they keep adding more and more characters, I completely understand why when the manga was being published so many people began to say it fell off and shit, this is fucking trash bro.

@StallionXD It's not the Science Kingdom anymore, it's the Clowns' Kingdom. With all these throwaway characters shallower than the Sea of Azov. I'd gladly take it if these nonsense character completely went idle, but no, they have to take up time by having us see their goofy reactions and saying their silly catchphrases. I'm sure just like with Luna's "capability" mania, we'll repeatedly see the watchmaker writhe around women. The "geographist" teen will continue destroying her vocal cords and so on...

@StateofOhayo It is definitely rushed. It took a few episodes in the first season to produce an antibiotic, iirc. Now in just 2 episodes, the team went from around Sacramento to the Andes, the vulcanization (which wasn't even mentioned) and crafting of wood gas generator and bikes taking only a few seconds.

Ideal pacing to match the tension and speed of the earlier two seasons would have a whole season dedicated just to the nautical team's crossing of the Pacific from Cali to South America, with plenty of downtime to flesh out the characters on both ships and their relationships.

A subsequent season could've been spent on crossing the desert while the Cali crew iron out the uneasy cooperative diplomacy.

And then the next season after that could've covered this Andes conquest and began the rainforest exploration.

As it stands, this current pacing makes the entire show feel like a giant recap-style set of eps rather than a carefully crafted story.

@Spirelord Fully agree. It's frowned upon for a studio to change source material to their will, but I would have loved it if they'd modified the course of the story according mostly to your suggestion. 2 continents and 2 new characters in only 2 episodes, way too fast. There used to be decent details about the scientific processes, roadmaps, Mecha-senku and all that, now there is no time left for them.

Well, now I'm curious how Senku is going to pull that off with only the bikes.

We also got the introduction of a new character, that isn't able to talk to girls, but completely cruel towards the boys.
And he found out that the medusa is powered up by a diamond, and does the oldest trick in the book, takes the battery out and puts it back in, and gets himself petrified (good job, it's not like Niki didn't warn you).

Well, Stanley is getting close to them, so they need to rush and get through the Andes, and arrive at the florest.

Also, Hyouga just eating with the mask on, and the bone just coming out of the mask was unexpected. Also, the way they killed that cute animal, poor thing. At least they seem to have enjoyed the meal.

@StallionXD Tsukasa and others will have important plot later in the episode, you just need to shut the fuck up, you didnt even know what happen to others, new characters bring new plot to the manga, you didnt want the series to just flopped because no one knews where to go after this, how to repair the medusa, you should've shut up since ryusui introduced then

@Arxeas Its shounen anime what did you expect, just enjoy while it last. For a shounen anime that doesn't have action frequently, having 4 season is already pretty good if u ask me, did not get axed, 232 chapters, no other manga from jump with this genre survived there

Have to agree with you. This show has great characters, but what does it matter when they basically become wallpaper after their major arc? I completely forgot Pink Haired Girl #1 was even still around. I love Nikki whenever she's on-screen, but I forget about her constantly because she just blips in and out of relevancy. Kensho Ono's character is constantly around, but he no longer does anything outside of his job.

I get Chelsea's inclusion, since she has a very specific and helpful job. Carlos was only useful for one or two episodes. I had to look up Max's name because he doesn't say or do anything that Carlos doesn't already say and do.

I'm torn, tbh. The slower pacing worked really well in the beginning, when the stakes were much lower, it took way more effort to create things, and every new discovery was an enormous milestone. Meanwhile, I felt bored with Treasure Island because so little happened in some episodes. They just spent so many episodes building things or spying or doing something small, and the plot had to move at a snail's pace to facilitate it.

I would like to see the characters get more screentime and development. And one of my major complaints about modern anime is how everything is so rushed, including some elements of this show's current season. But like, I'd hate something like the first two seasons in the current era. I feel like there should be a middle ground, where the story is slower than it is now, but faster than the first couple of seasons.

Magma sure was winning this episode.
Also odd they didn't add any fanservice shot of Homura when she was looking for Medusa. Curious considering the random asf ass-shot of female Stanley from last episode.

But man, not even three episodes have passed and we already got introduced to plot device N°2 in the form of this half-edgy/half-cringey watchmaker.
