based on the episode 3 and 4, i kinda relate to Rintarou on a personal level. texting waguri the 1st time, talking with her on the call, meeting up with her in a cafe in a more casual tone, all these might seem simple or petty but as a guy who had experienced the same things a long time ago brings back some special memories of mine. that alone makes this series a favorite already.
hope it gets a better ending though...
were you able to relate this series when you fall for the "1st time"?

Not really, the start of my only relationship looked vastly different, but my best friend would probably relate a lot, so I'll try to show her this anime. Waguri and Rintaro are very cute and fun tho, I really enjoy the series so far

I see a lot of posts being like „this is overrated“ so I‘m happy to see urs.

For me this anime sparks simplicity. No big drama. A healthy relationship/dating experience where 2 individuals listen to each other, learning from past mistakes and rly try to understand what they feel. They don‘t rush it, there‘s no lovebombing, they just enjoy each other‘s company and try to help where they can.

Of course the mc looks handsome and has a rly kind heart. And yes we have a girl with a positive aura, liking to eat, smart, beautiful and with a big smile on her face. Yes. This sounds way too good too be true. But people tend to forget that people act differently when they‘re confident. F.e. I wasn‘t able to eat in public for years, wearing baggy not suiting clothes and was socialy distant to each and every one. Nowadays I can be like her eating out not caring about anyone and just Enjoy my own company, dressing differently and just have fun doesn’t matter what someone thinks.And I know plenty of girls who are the same as her or me. So, for some it might seem „too good too be true“ but in reality this does exist.

And for the guy. Tall,blond and piercings. it‘s japan. People will be scared of him if he got a resting mad face with this kind of traits.

But to answer ur question. Yes I do. Sometimes u don‘t even realise u fall for someone. So it‘s a rising feeling. Just enjoying someones company not realising how much u like to spend time with them. Talk about non sense or just sitting in silence.

I could. but not as an adult. nowadays adult dating life is weird and full of bs. no one is genuine and everyone wants to be cool, so the more pure things are left out. hence I've been single for some time because I like it when it's more natural and organic. (sounds like food)
but my school days were like this. I can't relate to rintaro alot. this reminds me alot of my school day crush. that rethinking of the moments spent with that person again and again, overanalyzing all the details, looking at their text messages again and again, an anxiously waiting for our next meeting. tje wa fuzzy feeling, the way my face would heat up and ears would buzz.
I haven't felt that in so long!

I wish my first time falling in love was as lovely as Kaoruko and Rintaro’s. It was actually a mess that was full of interesting developments, but ended badly and was quite painful.
