| The art is from a manhwa that was ALREADY drawn and released back 2022. It's NOT AI. I highly doubt it as a long term reader of this series. Clearly the animators enhanced the quality with whatever tools they had since the art itself was created on a smaller resolution. It's like when you put a small image into an art upscaler generator. This is from the manhwa itself. Chapter 5, p 22 + 25. The art itself is complete. Cezee/Shiji's outfit patterns were actually completed but looked like it was haphazardly erased around in the show.  They separated the layers of Sven and Shiji due to the anime video being horizontal but the panel itself was vertical, more cramped. I would say they were careless and did not clean up Shiji's outfit pattern. You don't need to have an AI extend art/redraw. Alot of scanlation groups have redrawers for a reason, I've done a bit of work of that on my own as a hobby. Again, studio/producer must have overlooked quality and did not fix this error. But it's not AI.  The illustrators is Sorajima studio, who from surface level researching, is a Japanese Manga Production and Publishing Company who is always actively hiring artists. |

I see ! My bad then, i really thought such poor quality would be AI related and artists animators would never let it pass. But i guess it was even more low budget then i thought.

But for the case as poor restructuring, I do strongly believe that they *do* use """traditional""" upscale ML since you've pointed out the blurry mess artifacting, which only happened if the assets they used were already in low-res (I assumed the comic studio didn't have master edit, or the canvas they set is indeed, that low)...... then another upscale for TV release.
