| I see they're preparing for the school festival. If anything, this show really revolves around a lot about school activities and its culture. Monica's new friend Casey is tougher than she appears. I kinda respect it that she stands her ground. Monica's magic talent is still impressive, no matter how many times she shows it. |

| Casey showing her true colours. While i can somewhat understand her seeing the suffering she went trough since she is in that school she could have also spend her efforts on trying to get connections and such to try and gain more favour for the region she came from and try and got protection that way. I think she and probably the ones who influenced her are going out from the worst case thinking the prince might start a war but maybe the prince has other ideas. The me it seems Casey just went on with her plan without trying to find out the true objectives of the prince or without trying to persuade him to avoid a war. Instead trying seduction and reaching the conclusion that failed early on. |

| These episodes have not disappointed me at all. Well, turns out that Casey was the one who had bad intentions, not Claudia. She was kind of crazy for that but I guess I understand her motive though. Of course, Monica carries again with her magic crap which looked amazing by the way. I was really sad that Casey wasn't a good person after all, she was a great friend to Monica so I never thought about if she was hiding anything. Too bad she was. 5/5 |

| This episode... It was a "why?", and then a plot twist of a plot twist—crazy stuff. I don't want their friendship to end, but this goes deep. We'll see how it goes. And well, more Claudia goodness. I love her saying "O-NI-I-SA-MA" whenever she's teasing Cyril. |

| That betrayal was foreshadowed very well, but I still didn't see it coming. Great writing. Claudia becomes more intriguing by the episode. And Ryn is always very stylish. |
| Aside from the Monica confronting the Professor in Episode 4, I was eagerly anticipating this part of the story and it did not disappoint. It also shows that, again, this anime is not merely about Monica being Bocchi the Witch. It's about her personal growth as well as taking actions and decisions that have geopolitickal implications. When Monica summoned the gate, Aizawa Saya's voice used the same voice she used as Ayano in Roshidere, which usually isn't apparent in her usual Monica voice. Minor nitpick is that we are not shewn so far Monica riding a horse. It is relevant to the plot down the road. |

| Best show of the season and one of the best fantasy anime ever no one will convince me otherwise, So funnily enough I'd already been spoiled on Casey not being completely a good character, I just never knew the exact details behind her would have been super surprising IF I HADNT BEEN SPOILED. But man to find out she lost all her brothers in such horrible ways to pteradragons, it makes sense she done what she did. And man Monica's even more impressive for being able to stop it all, she even summoned the gate again. The concept of their being a spell even Monica has to chant is so sick must really be a legendary spell. Im curious what will happen to Casey regarding her knowing about Monica's involvement with the seven sages. Maybe she'll have her memory wiped, Worse case scenario she gets executed. Honestly best case she gets exiled. I really can't see this ending well for her. But at the same time no one actually knows other than Monica, Nero and I guess Louis now too. So they could just let her off I really doubt Casey really hates Monica honestly. On a brighter note some small development between Cyril and Monica's dynamic and some more of Lana this episode was nice. Plus hopefully we'll get to see another sage next episode. Though I won't complain if its literally just more Louis instead of the witch of thorns But that's 1/2 things I've been spoiled on being addressed in the anime now, curious if the other thing will be addressed since its been on my mind ever since I got spoiled about it. Keeping a close eye on Nero's character. |

| Claudia's cold personality is undoubtedly amusing. But, honestly, if you want to remain her friend, it's probably best not to get too close to Neil. Poor shy squirrel: one of her best friends betrayed her. Monica could end up hiding the fact that Casey tried to assassinate the prince, but to do so she'll have to deceive Louis... which won't be easy for someone as shy as her. P.S.: Monica's power was really impressive. I don't know how strong that barrier of thorns must have been for her to have to resort to an invocation, but it seemed more like using a dam to put out a bonfire. |

| What an exciting episode. Never thought Casey was actually the one behind the tea incident and actually one of the someones trying to assassinate the prince. The author/show used the bully girl from the previous episode as a misdirection. If Claudia does have to deal with the consequences of her actions like she mentioned or anything for that matter, I hope it doesn't cause Monica to revert back to square one of her introverted self after the progression she's made. |
| Oh wow, I wasn't expecting Casey to be a villain. And I was just thinking how nice and sweet everyone in Monica's friend group was, with Lana, Casey and Claudia. I still feel like it's too early to pass conclusive judgement on her yet though. Or maybe I'm just in denial LOL |
| Betrayal always comes from closest of persons. Shame I really liked Casey and can sympathize with her pov. What pains more she just used Monica. Even after Monica knew about the tea thing she still tried to be her friend. Magic really looks brilliant everytime it's used. That door summoning one especially. Poor girl will be tortured by Louis again. Claudia teasing is amazing, such a good character. Nero drip looked fine af. |

Damn. The worst episode ever. Not onlt the pacing too fast, but i dont understand wtf with the plot. Gate open and no one come out? Rather than try to change the formula, you can go to Prince ez with flight. I dont even care with carey. Cause from previous episode, her action made no sense. I dont even feel emphaty cause the pacing and the plot lol. I prefer some accident rather than quietly solved problem. This episode really trash. Idk about novel,prob better.

| I knew it, Casey was the one that threw away Monica's tea and I had a hunch it was her when it happened in that episode and she was the one that cut the rope to severely weaken it in this episode. While her motive was somewhat understandable it's a shame that she could not stand Monica regardless. Also, Casey could've gone a different route to appease to Felix rather than trying to assassinate him but she did what she did. Now I wonder what punishment she will receive, assuming Monica doesn't lie to Louis as to what she tried to do... |

| This show is literally nothing without visuals. No tension whatsoever because we have an op protag who can do anything she wants, and nobody can beat her besides MAYBE another of the sages. Characters aren't particularly deep or complex either. "It's gonna blow up any moment now." Walks over to the garden and casually has a conversation, still hasn't blown up. Even though the defusal is "close," it's obvious nothing will ever go wrong, so why even get invested? If Nero isn't the boy, this is ass |

| @shxtter I feel like it took Casey a bit to figer out what she was talking about. She not as knowable of the silent witch as Claudia. What I not sure about is why Casey messed with her tea. |

| While I do commend the twist about the tea leaves for being somewhat well executed (I got the part about the blank paper but never connected it to Casey), the problem with this episode's major twist is that we didn't spend enough time with Casey to even develop a proper opinion on her besides that she's a good girl who's friends with Monica. "I have always hated you" only works if we actually see them doing things together, but we barely saw the two of them interacting (at least in ways that feel more personal than those 4 way tea parties). A couple scenes of her teaching Monica how to ride, or talking about her homeland, even a few cryptic comments about the student council, the nobility or showing some interest in that dragon incident would have gone a long way. The "fight" was also poorly executed but meh, that's not the point of this series. On a more positive note, Claudia only gets better every episode. |
