 The official website of the Ikoku Nikki (Journal with Witch) television anime revealed the main cast, staff, a key visual (pictured), and first promotional video on Wednesday. The anime adapting Tomoko Yamashita's drama manga is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.Voice actresses Miyuki Sawashiro (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) and Fuuko Mori are starring as Makio Koudai and Asa Takumi, respectively. Staff Sub-character Design: Toshie Kawamura (Ao Ashi character design) Art Director: Eriko Takahashi (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai background art) Color Design: Miho Tanaka (Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu) Prop Design: Miyako Kanou (Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita. Heart) Costume Design: Kaede Aizawa (Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyoudai. prop design) Director of Photography: Satoshi Namiki (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope) Editing: Kazuhiko Seki (Blue Period) Sound Director: Takahiro Oomori (Natsume Yuujinchou) Miyuki Ooshiro (Durarara!!x2 Shou assistant director) is helming the anime at Shuka. Kouhei Kiyasu (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Kenji Hayama (Kuragehime) is designing the characters, and Kensuke Ushio (Chi. Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite) is composing the music. Yamashita drew the manga in Feel Young magazine from June 2017 to June 2023. Shodensha published the 11th and final volume in August 2023. | Admittedly, I'm a little less sold on the visuals with this teaser than I was on the first one that came out, but two of the series I've been looking forward to got postponed, so it's a relief that this news was just more info. At first, when I read winter 2026, I thought that meant December of next year and wasn't thinking in terms of anime seasons, so it's also a relief that it's actually January of next year. |
