| The dark horse of this year, pretty compact arc in a small single season of 17 episodes with interesting dialogue and storytelling. Good screenwriting is getting rarer and rarer. No lame cliché trash, especially cringe pretentious dialogue, is already a win. CG Year animation and design is always pretty good, this time it doesn't miss the mark as well. Don't want to goon, but the female leads' designs are amazing. Somehow Zhao Xiang'er was the only one who got the privilege to have a whole wardrobe, those were a lot of outfits. Looking forward to next season which is to be set for next year 2026, hopefully it becomes a nianfan, but it probably won't as it's CG Year. 8/10 |

| Looking at the overall rating of 7.05 right now or so I think it deserves a little more, watched many many series in the genre and this one is rather underrated, it's very interesting and different in many ways. I'm actually looking forward to the 2nd season and honestly I didn't expect it to be so interesting watching the first episodes, it rather impressed as it went on. |
| so next season is where he will finally start his cultivation again in the new sect. guess it will be like typical reincarnation cultivation since the mc wasn't just nobody,but someone from higher realm n powerful sect also,how n from where did his 2nd senior brother suddenly appearing ?? unless he had been watching the whole time based on what he said before showing up n his comment about the fmc. but did he even recognize the mc is his junior brother ? cause it didn't seem like he recognize him.even though he was very close to the pl mc based on the flashback |

So much speculation and bs.
MC blacks out unable to kill the fox demon at the last second, and when the plot armor resolves the issue, he stands up fine and ready to fight the next second. The hole in his chest also magically disappears.
The MC apparently realizes why his master removed his spirit animal or whatever, but did they tell us why? No.
Spends half the watch time with people just staring (or giving vibes as they like to call it).
The mystery aspect of the show was good at first, but they answered none of them so far, so it's more of plot holes at the moment.

| Overall this was pretty good, though there were some scenes that were a bit odd. Glad that a season 2 is green lit though. |
