The problem with season 1 was that it was an anime with little substance and a rather inconsistent direction, with very weak animation, very lazy and generic direction, and an adaptation that copied the manga 1-for-1 without elevating it with additional story scenes or fights like other anime do...

I hope this second season does better because it's the most interesting part of the story (I've read the manga and I think there will only be three seasons), but the fact that JJK is also happening around this time makes me doubt that we'll get a truly solid product for this title this time around.

both jjk and hells paradise have separate production lines...This wasn't the case earlier since both hells paradise and aot were managed by same production line

I hope so. I liked the season and the ending fight was really good, but overall the animation wasn't amazing.
I read that at the time Mappa was more focused on Attack on Titan, so now that that's done, the team can fully focus on this one.

Copying The Manga 1-To-1 Is More Than I Could Ask For, Better Than Changing Shit And Fucking It Up

Considering it’s been 4 years (although not all that time was likely spent producing it) I’m hoping it’s better than the first season.

First off, MAPPA needs to stop taking on so much work because season 1 was over 2 years ago now which is terrible for anime only fans as they forget what even happened with everything else there is to consume. Secondly, this series is poorly written with how everybody conveniently awakens their Tao at around the same time with little to no effort to do so. Thirdly, I'm done with the white hair trope. And Fourthly, I'm dropping this series👍

Season 1 of hell's paradise is the worst thing I have seen from Mappa but the condition for season 2 should be a lot better now I hope it is...

the anip aka animation producer is the same as season 1 https://myanimelist.net/people/64969/Wataru_Kawagoe
so im not expecting great production quality and the first pv already shows its mostly the same production quality as season 1 anyway

the animation wasnt necessarily the problem with season 1. it was kinda everything else. so idk same animation director probably doesnt mean much

@deg Even though the Animation Producer is the same, the Production Desk is also important and if the rumors are true, the Desk will be Makoto Arakawa and this is very good news for the quality of Jigokuraku because Arakawa brought very good names to Bucchigiri

You're in for a surprise. The Desk of Bucchigiri is assisting Kawagoe this time. S1 had very bad circumstances, then they focused on Aot solely which Turned out amazing. There's been decent production time this time around, the trailer is more consistent than even peaks of s1.

Arakawa was not a Desk on Bucchigiri, just PA on two episodes

Considering it'll be airing the same season as JJK S3 and that usually means production schedules overlapped with eachother for both series means that the less priority anime will get the 'lazier adaptation' which means Hell's Paradise S2 will be the lazy adaptation.

@Massdrop My friend, the production lines are completely different, so they can't overlap :)
