Pretty nice final episode here near the start of spooky month, I’ve said this before but I always like when they tie in some lore behind the Storyteller, and they did exactly that here, only this time it was a bit of a mindfuck because this guy thought he was listening to the stories the whole time, but turns out he was actually the Storyteller himself, but it was actually all in his head, so was he? The Storyteller just got a lot more confusing lol, maybe someone else will have a better take on it, I thought the episode was pretty cool regardless of confusion tho, it was a good one to end the 15th season on.

And that was it for the 15th Season of Yamishibai, what can I say besides it was more Yamishibai, even if the episodes this season were overall more on the miss than the hit side, it’s such a short and easy romp that I always find myself enjoying it, it’s always a nice spooky bit of content to end my Sundays with. My favorite episodes of this season were “Inheritance”, “Clang Clang Clang”, “Stains”, “Burden Giving”, “Summer Grievings”, and “Memories”. I also liked the ED song of this season, not as fun as the spooky dance from the previous season but it was a fun song. And with that, until next time Yamishibros, if they make another.

I can't believe I actually called it in my post about the last episode lmao.

In all seriousness, this episode was pretty confusing, but it just makes the Storyteller more interesting to me.

I'm sure I'm really far off with this train of thought, but my mind went back to either season 4 or 5 (whichever one had a different Storyteller every episode). Maybe this guy was one of those or at least in the same shoes as them. It especially makes sense with all of the masks the Storyteller at the end had. I think the one at the end is meant to be implied to be the "original" one, though that does lead me to wonder why he looked no different in prior season finales "The 100th Story" and "Dreaming of That Day". Is there a physical version of the original Storyteller that we saw at the end of this episode and then a paranormal version of his younger self we saw in those prior episodes? Who's to say? Am I thinking too deep into this? Probably.

Regardless, I always enjoy seeing the Storyteller in action and MAN do I wish I could buy his mask so I could cosplay him at a convention.

Overall, this season wasn't great, but it wasn't as abysmal as seasons like 2 and 4. Highlights from this season in my opinion are Inheritance, Butterfly, Lingering Snow, and Memories. Hopefully if the Yamishibai train keeps chugging, next season can reach higher heights.

Another Finale featuring (??) the Storyteller or are there multiple ones? That recalls the time the kid was the Storyteller. Not too bad, but not a high note ending either.

Another Storyteller lore episode! I don't understand exactly what happened. The guy remembered the Storyteller though he wasn't there, and he couldn't have been the Storyteller if he was just a kid... But he'd signed the artwork...?

In Season 3, the Storyteller was a kid on a playground, but he was drawing weird stuff in a sketchbook, not doing the kamishibai shows in that particular town.

We know that he has a drawer full of identical masks, and maybe not all his stories were creepy? It had to be a dream because why did that dumbass just walk into his house? Why were those kids running around so late?

I think the drawer of masks means there always will be a Storyteller.

"Burden Giving" was the standout episode for me this season. I'd say this one was lackluster, but some stories had very nice art.

Cool, but personally this ep just made me wish I was watching the one about the storyteller as a kid instead.

The first few eps weren't too good, but some good ones evened out this season.

I liked this season better than the rest.

Also, I don't understand people constantly complaining "art art", like what the f do you know about art?!
Just shut up and watch the story as told. This is not a series for style damm!

- Do people still complain about the art-style? Tbh Yami Shibai wouldn't work with a "conventional art-style".

- The last 4-5 seasons have been really consistent, unlike some earlier seasons where there were only one or two decent to good stories.

A confusing ending... but a good season overall.
