Plot Summary

When high schooler Mari bumps into a fellow tardy student, she's surprised to find out he's a beastfolk who's to attend her school! After all, it's not rare for beastfolk to coexist alongside humans, but it's still uncommon, with the prejudice and all. Nervous to meet one at first, Mari soon learns there's more to him than his furry exterior. In fact, the more she gets to know him, the more she finds herself drawn to him, his steadfastness, his kindheartedness, and... his body...

Episode 1

It starts out explaining the environment where humans and beastfolk live in harmony in a walled area inside Saitama, though beastfolk are subjected to discrimination. At the start of the school year, one such beastfolk sits next to Mari in Tsunagu, and the two hit it off, though not without a hitch. It all started on the bridge where Mari startles Tsunagu and he falls into the river, and while he's athletic, swimming is another matter entirely. So after Mari takes in Tsunagu to her house, they start bonding. And then in gym class the two are together inside the equipment storage room where Tsunagu's instincts start to take over as they establish their relationship. I'm curious to see where this relationship will go seeing that this is supposed to be a romance that defies perception.

Uhmmmmm no. Don't even need to watch it, that description was enough. I don't need my hentai plots trying to be regular anime and vice versa lets keep everything separate like Jesus would want us to.

Episode 2

Yukihiro gets Mari and Tsunagu out of the storage room after the two got locked in. And once again, the two are trying to make their relation work somehow, but there are several obstacles in the way, more so than just Mari being a human and Tsunagu being a beastman as Tsunagu is worried that his beast instincts will take over as it nearly did there at the end. So these two are pushing their boundaries to the limit here realizing that they can only go so far with their relationship before it turns into problems.

Yeah, not for me either.

Wait, there's a cat girl? Why didn't they introduce her in the first two episodes? The story really doesn't lead with it's strength. How long before she shows up?

Anyway, furry or not, this all feels very generic.

Pretty hilarious that this show and the video below came out so close to each other.

@zkeleton "Morning Glory Milking Farm" ><

Kindle Unlimited is full of stuff like this for both women and men however I am alarmed that Morning Glory Milking Farm has an actual printed book version.

Episode 3

Here is an episode focused on Mari's friend Ayano, who has an imaginative mind and is aspiring to be a novelist. Her parents are quite strict as anything less than scoring at the top of the class is deemed unacceptable, especially more so when it's Tsunagu who surpasses her in the latest exam. She has been writing a novel in her spare time, but it got turn up and tossed away as she doesn't have a high opinion of beastfolk. But Tsunagu gets it back and they fix it up best they can. And then Mari and Tsunagu continue to build their relationship that defies social norms, taking the next step under the rain. There are some things that will cause somebody to think of things the way they shouldn't be, but it's a good thing Mari reached out to her in a big way.

Episode 4

Tsunagu shows off his athleticism there in that basketball game, all while Mari isn't so athletic and twists her foot during that game. Then the next day, Mari brings out her dog Yukimi for a walk, and Tsunagu gets along with her seeing that they are both canines. Mari makes a friend in Yukihiro as he's into dogs as well. And despite being lovers, Tsunagu still refuses to call Mari by first name. And then the two kiss there, though Yukihiro notices it going down. Looks like a love triangle could be forming, though Yukihiro hasn't exactly acknowledged that he's in love with her at this time, but it's something to think about.

Episode 5

The sports festival is on, and naturally there's a lot of backlash about Tsunagu participating in it seeing that he's so freakishly strong as a beastman. But he's allowed in and he shows off his superior athleticism in the sprint. And then comes the three-legged race that tells a lot about relationships as Mari and Yukihiro race together and win. Mari admits that she might be falling for him, but that was just the heat of the moment. And then Tsunagu races with a girl who couldn't be any more different in build and athletic ability. The kids learn something about themselves with the sports festival.

Episode 6

All of the sudden, things become a mess at the sports festival as it rains, and Ochi sprains his knees after he fell down. But the air clears and the festival continues with Tsunagu participating in the relay with Mari handing off the baton to the beastman for the final event, and Tsunagu blows the competition away. Afterwards, Yukihiro and Tsunagu get wet playing with the hose, all while Ochi says some things that Mari doesn't know how to respond to it. After that, Mari and Tsunagu make a promise in a private conversation, and after that summer vacation arrives as they meet another beastman, a catgirl who Tsunagu knows. Should be interesting to see how things go during their summer vacation now that Mari has made friends with another beast.

Episode 7

Kisara sure does add a breath of fresh air there seeing that up until that point Tsunagu was the only important beastfolk. But that raises the question of whether it is right to fall in love with somebody across species as Yukihiro has romantic feelings for Mari, all while Tsunagu is having the same with his childhood friend Kisara. While Mari and Tsunagu love each other, they both have another romantic partner that won't cause any ridicule. So Mari and Yukihiro head on to the beach to bond, and Yukihiro sure doesn't miss an opportunity when she steps on a sea cucumber by accident. And after the trip, Mari comes down with a fever. Then Mari has a date with Tsunagu inside a town specifically for beastfolk as she learns more about her furry neighbors, all while running into Kisara there at the end. While Mari wants to get along with everybody, it's going to be tough to do with some of them as Mari is about to find out.

Episode 8

While inside the beastfolk district, she meets Kisara, who is warning her that she's looking way too suspicious seeing that a different set of rules apply in this place. So after e brief skirmish with some other beastfolk, Tsunagu arrives and the two have a half-hearted attempt to fall love seeing that Tsunagu wore a muzzle to constrain himself. Shortly after that, Yukihiro is asking Mari for a study group as he needs help on his homework. And then after talking about how they will do their homework, they head off to the festival that's full of floating lanterns and fireworks. It's no wonder why relationships between humans and beastfolk aren't exactly looked upon favorably, but these two are slowly trying to change that perception.

Episode 9

And with that, summer vacation is over with the school festival fast approaching. For Mari's class they are doing the good old maid and butler cafe. Mari and Kisara spend some time together as they get to know each other better. So after Mari and Tsunagu have a lovey-dovey moment, it's onto preparing for the festival, and somebody from the journalist club is going to great lengths to get an interview from Tsunagu that he clearly refuses to do to the point where he has to run away. So while it's the typical festival prep antics, this relationship sure has been tested in a lot of ways.

Episode 10

And now, it's time for the school festival, and Mari and Tsunagu sure had an interesting time there together. And then Kisara attends while wearing a hoodie and runs into Yukihiro, but he's somebody who she can trust. Nevertheless, everybody had a great time there as the maid and butler costumes look great. But some other attendees try and hit on Kisara before Mari comes to her aid. As it turns out, the class does not just a maid and butler cafe, but a beastfolk maid and butler cafe as the students are wearing beastfolk headgears to convince customers to appreciate them. And it looks like there's another human-beastfolk relationship as Kisara has fallen for Yukihiro after he helped her out in a time of need.

I skim through most of this just to watch the scenes with the cat girl. Every part she's in is ten times better than the rest of it, though that's not saying much.

Episode 11

Just when things are going well between Mari and Tsunagu, the two are caught on camera as somebody from the journalism club snuck a photo of them being all lovey-dovey and is spinning this as an attack by a beastfolk on a human, and the gossip is spreading like wildfire. So the two go home and the next day Tsunagu is asked to stay home while the class discusses the article, and they all stand by Tsunagu seeing that there's no proof of any assault, all while with that low quality image that it could practically be anything. But even so, Tsunagu has been put on leave until the situation is sorted out. This goes to show that those working in journalism will go to great lengths to get people to recognize them and distort the truth to those who don't take things in perspective. One more episode left to go.

Almost this entire story could have been done by replacing the beast people with the typical anime 'misunderstood delinquent' types.
