Trick or Treat! Very fun Halloween episode as usual. The girls’ costumes were soo good, especially my baby Meroron! Love lighthearted episodes like this

It’s a win-win Halloween, awww Nana got to dress up with her best friend and Uta overcame her fear of scary stuff! This was really cute, Uta might be the badass cure Idol and help save the day every week, but she’s afraid of pumpkins, ghosts and virtually anything related to Halloween. I laughed so hard when she ran away as Nana was eating a pumpkin like cmon 😭 she’s too precious

Looks like Idol’s speech last week planted a seed in Jogi’s mind and he’s thinking about Kaito. Can’t wait for that inevitable reunion and my Yaoi ship to sail lol. This week’s fight was pretty standard until the end, Idol closing her eyes to punch the Jack o Lantern monster because she was too afraid to look at it is soo cute! Love her sm

They might have been simple costumes, but it’s the experience that counts and Nana got to help the person who’s given her so much since they met. But we all know Meroron and Purirun should’ve won that competition lol

Meroron and Purirun really love those transparent sleeves.

Now that Chokirinne seen Cutty and Zakkuri are okay, were close to her purification. Well, just 11 episode tops until the end, honestly.

Seeing the preview, already not looking forward next episode.

Very good episode, it reiterates the idea that there are no Mary Sues in sight AND it's very cool to see my two main wives from this show supporting each other. As their own husband, I approve it. The only things I don't like is, as for the previous episode, the ubermegagigacrappy new transformation (again, I fail to see how anyone could like it to begin with) that nonsensically ruins an otherwise perfect chara (couldn't they do it the way Star Twinkle Precure did it?) and the preview of the next episode. Again with the male cures BS, Toei? just stop it, please. 8 out of ten (without the shitty new transformation would have been a 9). Today, for the people who don't like tokus (yet they love this IP, makes zero sense to me), there won't be any comment on the new Gozyuger episode because I refuse to watch Naruhisa Arakawa throwing feces at my eyes again like he did the last week. Now, onto Vanny Knights!

@ProudElitist If I'm not mistaken, the five male Precure we see in the next episode preview are from the stage play called "Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage"! They're the first all-male precure group, which I personally think is really cool!!! Though, I suppose it's fair for some people to be put off by an all-male team if the reaction Cure Wing from Hirogaru got is anything to go by...but I think people should give the concept of male cures a chance, whether or not they've seen Hirogaru!

It really makes me wonder why this team is here...is it advertising because the stage play being performed again or something? I'm not on places where info like that could be readily available like Twitter, so all I can do is theorize and wait for next week!

@Rozu667 for now I have no intention of watching that series because Gozyuger has made me disinterested in anniversary shows like that one or Zenkaiger, so I'm watching other non-anniversary stuff for now. I don't give it a chance because I don't watch an animated all-female equivalent of the Kamen Rider and the Super Sentais to watch men performing what the original tokusatsus IPs already give to me. I watch the pretty cures because I like seeing women in action - women with which I like to think I'm in love with, like Cure Idol and Cure Wink - beating the shit out of monsters, if I wanted men doing the same I would stick to the Super Sentais and the Kamen Rider. See for example Black Pepper in Delicious Party precure, that series is awesome but seeing him performing a Kamen Rider kick when already I have the Kamen Rider doing the same every week is ridicolous. Me and the women have already the Kamen Riders and the Super Sentais (there's a reason why, objectively speaking, males in the Toei tokusatsus are all hunks), so what gives?

@Rozu667 I finished watching the Kyuranger movie minutes ago, if women don't like at least the guy who portrays the Red Ranger's human identity I am Donald Duck. The Kyurangers also sport henshin devices similar to the ones of the male cures in the preview of the next episode. Again, I don't see a point of animated men doing the same thing the Kyurangers do, me and the women already have the Kyurangers and all the other sentais. The Cures are perfect without any men inbetween, except for secondary/support roles not as agents on the field with them. And neither I believe Toei male pretty cures for "inclusivity" of my ass, Toei are the same people that for "inclusivity" put the writer of episode 35 and other ones of this Pretty Cure season behind an hack like Keiichi Hasegawa in Gotchard while having no problem whatsoever in putting debuting men like Yuya Takahashi (who I like really much) as writers of entire KR seasons from the very beginning and the same people who clearly bothered Akiko with insistance of shitty Red Kamen Rider crap in No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger when she wasn't interested one bit in turning the Sentai in that sense. An army of possible love interests/waifus beating the shit out of monsters alone >>>>>> fake inclusivity that is already redundant in every sense to begin with.

I'm not familiar with the Super Sentai franchise, so correct me if I'm wrong in saying this: They're not magical boys and, respectfully, it feels like you're comparing birds to bats—similar, yes, but very distinct in their own ways.

The reason boy cures exist, at least from my POV and understanding, is because magical boys have been pretty much unheard of up until the past few years and it's kind of like a blue ocean market. There were even boy cures before Cure Wing in Hirogaru Sky, though they were mainly for gags ("Cure Gorilla" from Smile Precure comes to mind). However, technically speaking, the first genuine boy cure was in HUGtto (though he wasn't made a permanent member like Wing), but I suppose you don't care about that because that season, like Hirogaru Sky, was meant to celebrate an anniversary.

Men want to be magical, too—in a way, it feels like the inverse of women wanting to play sports when it was considered "something boys do".

You can debate about diversity and how fake it is all you want, idrc about that because I wanna see sparkly magical girls and boys duke it out with darkness. But at the end of the day, you can just...skip any season with boy cures like Hirogaru Sky (anniversary or otherwise) without any issue and/or just learn to deal with things like the possible cameo of the Dancing☆Star cures (I say possible because there is also a chance they play a bigger role in the episode given the fact it looks like they transform in the preview) if you really want to keep watching seasons like You and Idol.

Apologies if this ultimately ends up sounding like a bunch of nonsense. I tried to keep things consistent and coherent, but admittedly I do like to ramble. I don't know if I'll say anything else after this because, no offense meant, you seem very negative if your comments in the previous forums are anything to go by and I'd rather not put myself through any of that. I hope you have a great day, though! Let's cheer on our favorite cures this season together!! :D

@Rozu667 I'm not comparing birds to bats because the core of this entire IP are the Super Sentais and the Kamen Rider, and it has been that way since the first series, Futari Wa. It's an animated version of those two IPs with a barebone majokko skin applied to it, nothing more nothing else. Negative? about what? because the marinateguy saw negativity where there wasn't? I've always been very positive about this series, it's the one that made me a fan of the IP in the first place where three previous failed attempts an year ago didn't do it. I might have been negative towards No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger, but I've always spoke positively about this series, in facts I prefer this series to No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger allaround because it has been more consistent that No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger (the main writer of the latter also wrote some episodes of Kimi To Idol). Except for the terrible transformation taken from the power up of Red Ranger of the Super Sentais that was avoidable, they didn't use it in other iterations of the IP like Star Twinkle and there was no reason to use it here. Not everything from the Super Sentais works well when translated into the Pretty Cures. Also, magical boys already existed without creating men cures, the boys from Saint Seiya literally are magical boys doing Super Sentai stuff well before the Pretty Cures were even concieved. I myself have been a fan of those magical boys well before 2005, when Futari Wa was created. Through the fake localized version and not the original japanese, uncensored one, but still the IP was the same.

Oh and if you think I'm the only one who has been negative towards No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger maybe you should check more the general opinions towards that show, because it has not been well received in general if I am not mistaken. I've been positive towards it when other people weren't, actually. But towards this show I've never been negative in any way shape or form, I've always been positive since I started watching it, which was not a long time ago. Except, again, the ridinkolous and ugly ASF Red Ranger/pink hair transformation that destroys an otherwise perfect chara.

I know any costumes Meroron and Purirun wore would win the costume contest in a heartbeat.
I could see Jogi is thinking about Kaito more this episode.

Plus Cure Idol new power up is so cool.
The hair, outfit, everything is chef kiss.

Uta reminded me of myself when I was younger. I was scared of horror stuff like crazy. I mostly conquer my horror fear in the 2010s.

@dreamlikeken30 the new power up of my wife sucks complete ass and serves literally nothing, it's just the previous attack with an hamfisted pink hair/santa claus dress garbage skin that lasts for the incredible amount of two seconds maximum before disappearing into obliviousness. Eye rape of the worst spieces made on the best chara imaginable that had no reason to exist in the first place (ask to the ladies in Star Twinkle Precure for more infos on how to do a power up in a proper way). It's so lazy it's laughable. Is really the Pretty Cure fandom so blindly accepting of everything Toei does? I had no idea, and I'm the one who gave a 9 to this series on this site's scoreboard before somebody had the "genius" idea of this horrible transformation. It reminds me of the braindead people on reddit who watched the terrible episodes of Keiichi Hasegawa in No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger and then proceeded to tell me that those were good episodes when EVERYBODY ELSE thought those two episodes were horrible, like I did.

This episode was unusually bad. So bad I was embarrassed watching it with my friends and I had to show them episode 37 so I could assure them the show can be good.

Ngl this is a really rough season....

I know how Uta can overcome her fear of ghosts and halloween decorations! It's called "You're a superhero who frequently battles evil beings in hand-to-hand combat, get a grip!".
