| We get to see Marco's dad for real and he's actually named polo π€£ Still hilarious how Oda gives us relatives for so many characters. He can't stop. Glad we got some actual fighting and not just clashes or turn based attacks. Pretty good for OP standards, especially for a flashback. Even tho Haki as a power system still wack af. Like Devil Fruits is where it's at. Also Garp redemption. Oda really needed to adress his stance on all of this. And Dragon goated for not giving a fuck, his urge to do the right thing is too strong. Makes so much sense that he couldn't stay with the Navy and planned to overthrow the current regime. We already saw some famliar Devil Fruits and now Perona's one too xD That's a wrap. Rocks was one of the GOAT's and while no saint, I still felt bad for him in the end. Other legends went out glorious and he pretty sad, especially since he thought he killed his wife and son. Now I'm looking forward to the aftermath of God Valley and the conclusion of the flashback. And seeing how the God Valley incident is over. Garling got quite the fraudulent rep if I have ever seen one. Champion of God Valley? Distinguished himself? Seriously, all he succeeded at was slaughter a defenseless woman and civillians. Lmao. |

"Polo" is Gram's last name, which means Marco's full name is Marco Polo. That's so fucking stupid I love it π Yeah fuck it this is easily a top 3 One Piece flashback, I’ve been wanting to see the full extent of the God Valley Incident for so long and it far exceeded my expectations. This did start as a Harald flashback though so I’m assuming we’ll circle back to him to wrap things up and by the next break week we should be back in the present. “Hell no. If I quit, who would protect the Marines?” So for those who shat on Garp for staying with the Marines despite the atrocities he witnessed here, there you go. Agenda morons weren’t getting it so Oda said fuck it let me just spell it out for yall. I’m glad we also got to see young Dragons development within this flashback as well, and what drove him to ditch the Navy and form the RA. Great action, I’m glad it was more than just Clash Piece, and we got a couple of new named attacks. This is gonna go crazy when they animate it like 5 years from now. Agenda Piece morons really tried to call 2 of my GOATs frauds, yet they proved why they’re so legendary. If they actually read the manga for its story and characters such an asinine discussion never would have existed to begin with. Goated chapter. |

| I thought the fight will be longer but this was satisfactory too. Roger and Garp were acting like best friends here, I loved their dynamic so much. Garp is actually such a reasonable guy, I thought he was all brawn and no brains. Now it makes sense why Roger would entrust Ace to him. Damn, Rocks went out like a true hero. I felt bad for him. So Joyboy and Davy are separate entities. Definitely setting up the parallel for Luffy and Blackbeard. |

Seeing also marco father was interesting and him being a fan of whitebeard to then his son marco in the future becoming part of whitebeard pirates is nice paraller and the fact marco father is quite literally marco polo in one piece world is funny refrenceπ |

| for such a banger chapter, it also felt short. maybe it was just me, wish it was longer. but roger and garp standing on the same side and so many parallels, really sick stuff and we know toei is gonna animate the fuck outta this fight when they get to it. all that hype for rocks and i never expected to feel this way about him. he'll be remembered forever. we even got polo, marco's father lmaoooo hilarious naming scheme from oda. let's see what happens after the break. |

| Rocks crying got me. He only wanted to save his family. Fuck Imu. Rogers and Garp working together works so well and I love it. I honestly respect Garp’s decisions. We never think about the marines, people like Smoker, Tashigi, Fujitora and Koby, who join for genuine reasons. |
