Welp, I didn't doubt him but Mudano is ridiciously strong in this show, almost regardless who is up against.
The kids segment was adorable until it transitioned into the present despair and bloodbath. Ugh, this anime just flips the mood in an instant, but I'm not even surprised at this point. Just crazy how much people suffer like Jin.
I'm suspicious of Kougasaki's story. He's telling the truth, but truth according to his view. There's still a lot of missing information. For example, there's no way his father won't know he survive.
only thing good about this series was those big milkers n they fail to show them often. mostly same looking boring characters wasting time with nothing new of a story.
I was primed for Jin's past had to be a rough one to justify how much of an edgelord he became and it delivered on that front but man, the milk message got to me.
Neither of them knowing how to process the mood after Shiki showed his sincere appreciation was gold lol
I shit on this show a lot, but fairs man Jin’s backstory is horrific. I kept thinking his dad was going to be the one to get killed because of all the “tomorrow” death flags, but I never foresaw his dad killing his mom and sister?? That’s fucking crazy, you married and slept with an oni for years and you couldn’t tell she was an oni? Or was it the fact you felt guilty about being in love with one? Surely you knew your wife and daughter weren’t a threat. I wonder if it’s an itachi Sasuke thing or if he’s legitimately evil.
Dudes will do anything but be intimate with each other lmao at shiki not wanting to tell Jin how much he really empathized with his story.
Another "watch how the Momotaros are the biggest scum" moment
It was nice seeing Mudano fighting, and I guess he wasn't even taking the fight that seriously, since he didn't want to kill the guy
In a way Kougasaki's mom was lucky cause she lived up to adult life and even had kids without knowing she's oni cause oni kids always have a tough life don't they, they can't even go to school cause they're always hiding their oni powers. But how did the dad know?
Dammm Mudono, I knew you'd be strong, but that twin dragon attack was great.
Kougasaki sure has had it rough. We finally learned how he obtained those scars. I hope he can kill his father.
Am also glad that he and Shiki are bonding
I can't stress enough how much I hate the momotaro. )ut of all the antagonist groups I've seen in all the anime I've watched, the momotaro with the most hated award.
poor jin went through a lot at such a young age. I don't understand how he got to where he currently is rn though. Who rescued him? Also is the dad still alive?
Mudano's fight wasn't really impressive and was mostly laughable bc what the fuck even happened? Bro got hit two hits and was almost dead?
As a wise man once said, "No one hates anime more than anime fans"
Mudano's Blood Release Eclipse of Profuse Autumn Rain against Osuke Momokado's Grim Reaper spear, it seemed as if Mudano is controlling the fight, but Osuke has more of a fighting spirit willing to freakishly fight to the death. But for now, Tsukuyomi fetching Osuke to recouperate, he truly keeps his chances for a better time.
Shiki thinking that Mikado will help him out, not knowing that Shinya is listening to his request, he's quite the simpleton thinking that help will come his way. But for Jin and his horrific family backstory, the former Momoido family with him, his sister Hazuki and his mother Asumi, all seemed a happy family at first for their father Kaede being a proud Momotaro in secret that the former has a duty to protect his family, until his father came to wreak havoc on his own family belonging to the Oni side, that swore a life of revenge on the son that carried his vengeance to this day. Shiki not wanting to admit the depressing story to cry buckets with his swollen eyes, he's quite the joker alright, even the vibes between the two, awkward as heck.
Until they learn the secret of Shinya's abiliy, this blaze will never end...
Probably one of the best episodes of the anime so far.
It starts with an exciting battle between Mudano and Ousuke. Once again, they use CGI for the battle, but it honestly looks good, like they did in episode 1 and 2, so I'm totally OK with that. Also, Mudano is such a cool character, and being voiced by the same person that voiced Levi from Attack on Titan only helps with that. Mudano easily defeated Ousuke, that was saved at the last moment by Tsukuyomi (that appears to be quite stronger if I'm being honest).
We then finally get Jin's backstory, and is it tragic... I think they did a really good job at making us care for Jin and his family, which in the end make us more frustrated, angry and sad with the final outcome of Jin's father killing his sister and mother. When Jin received the message from his sister, I assumed she was doing that to buy some time so that Jin could escape, and it was exactly that, even in the brink of death, she was thinking about her little brother, which only made it hurt more to see her dead like that :(
It also seems that all of Jin's scars come from the attack his father delievered on him, which is really sad honestly, a constant reminder of that day :(
But one thing is for sure: the story isn't exactly like this. It does not make a lot of sense for Jin's father to kill his own wife and daughter after discovering they were Oni, but seemingly sparing Jin. Yeah, Jin says his father thought he was dead, but it's not like he actually did a fatal blow like he did for his wife and daughter. Not only that, I suppose he didn't know his wife was an Oni, but his wife knew he was a Momotarou, which begs the question why she was with him in the first place (maybe she didn't know she was an Oni, but in that case, how did all of this happen).
I also have my doubts Jin's sister was an Oni, maybe she really was a Momotarou, and the truth is now what Jin thinks. All of this, because it really doesn't make any sense for Jin's father to spare him and not his sister. Also, the room was too destroyed for Jin's father just arriving there and killing the 2 on the spot, so someone transformed into that Oni form, for sure, we just don't know why. A lot of questions, that I suppose will get answered when Jin's father appears later on in the anime.
Besides this, Jin and Shiki's relationship is becoming more and more similar to Naruto and Sasuke's, and considering the author likes BLs, I suppose we are getting to see these 2 closer and closer, and have more of these moments in the future (although I doubt the author would actually commit to a Yaoi, and will probably be like what happened in Naruto).´
Also, last episode Shinya discovered that Mikado's friend "Natsu" is acutally Shiki, so that certainly isn't good for the relationship of these 2.
To end the episode, the little girl's house was burning down. Shinya at this point is going to burn down the whole city, with no care for human's lives.
Edit: To sum up, I feel like Jin's backstory is the same style as (spoilers for Naruto)
Sasuke's backstory with Itachi
Also, forgot to mention, but it was cute Shiki went to the bathroom to cry after hearing Jin's backstory xD He really didn't want Jin to see him getting emotional.
It was from this moment that Jin isolated himself and made his sole objective be killng his father
