| Well, you could just read the reviews. But to explain it simply, besides this anime being just a generic, unremarkable harem trash, the animation was absolute bottom of the barrel bad. And I'm saying OPM3 level bad. | Anta wa shin no otaku de wa nai (referring to replies) Calling this bottom of the barrel trash really does outline the audience criticizing this... Yes the animation quality has issues and clearly they were on a penny budget, but they definitely tried their best. This type of series is prime indulgent junk food for invested otaku in japan. Looking at some domestic ratings, i find it's actually rated closer to what i'd estimate, that being like a 6-6.5/10, not <5/10. There's nothing remarkable here, but there's nothing glaringly terrible about it. It's fast food for classic otaku, the kind that live in the culture of eroge and all that. Shows like these bring a smile to my face, like my bread and butter, and that's all they need to be. I'd say a lot of the downvotes were simply people that were considering the subject matter to be inappropriate or gross, or are simply people that are newer to anime and think these things are interfering with anime, rather than literally the type of stuff that made anime relevant in the first place. Anime would have died in the 80s if it wasn't for the pc98 eroge boom causing an otaku renaissance; and all of the eroge back then were infinitely more saucy and questionable and full of terrible writing and production than this. |
