One thing I was liking about this manga up until this point is the lack of romance, but I guess that's gone now. Well, let´s see how it handles it.

@garbomargo It's not that I hate romance, but it's a genre I don't care about, and I liked reading a university and coming of age based story without it.

I think that romance and love was a necessary topic to touch on in Blue Period for 2 main reason. First being the fact that it's a very realistic thing that happens in people lives and just feels liek something that would show up. The second being the importance of romance to art and self identity as a whole. There such big themes in Blue Period main focus, that I knew they have to touch on them at some point. The series makes this clear in this chapter why love is so important to art. I do think that if done right it can definitely it will add a lot to the series and Yatora's character. I'm not a big fan of romance series but I do like when love and romance is used to explore the themes of the series and help further develop it's characters. Though Yatora's character development and growth have been very natural and I feel like this aspect make sense
I hope that the series handles this well as Yatora is my favorite character by far, and I'm known Kinemi fan. I just hope it handles it well and with nuance, since I feel like if it does it will only make the series better for it. Though obviously if this is done badly it will seriously hurt the story.
