The Jump Super Stage for Kaijuu 8-gou (Kaiju No. 8) announced a final arc for the anime series on Saturday, revealing an announcement promo and visual (pictured right). The stage also announced a new short anime titled Narumi no Heijitsu (Narumi's Week at Work).

Produced by Production I.G, the first season adapting Naoya Matsumoto's action sci-fi manga aired in Spring 2024, followed by a second season in Summer 2025. Crunchyroll simulcasted the seasons with subtitles and dubbed them in multiple languages.

The Kaijuu 8-gou Movie (Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon) compilation and Hoshina no Kyuujitsu (Hoshina's Day Off) special premiered on March 28.

Shounen Jump+ began serializing the manga in July 2020 and concluded it on July 18 this year. Shueisha published the 16th and final volume on September 4. Kaijuu 8-gou has a cumulative 19 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2021 and released the 14th volume on September 2. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublishes it in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, Russian, and French.

Nice. I was afraid that it'll just get 2 seasons, and that'd be it. But I'm happy to see it get another season, or a movie sequel, whatever it is. Now, Sakamoto Days Season 2 when? Edit: Just got announced lol.

@perseii Thats the exact response manga fans had when the manga was announced to end soon. The author made the world building too small.

I personally found S2 to be much weaker than S1 and the manga ending reception doesn't exactly make me excited for this, but I'll probably still see it through anyway.
