| We are back after last week’s break and we’ve got our New Year’s episode! Nice mix of tradition and plot advancement here, I still feel like they waited way too long to really get the story going, cautiously optimistic the last few episodes will pull everything together satisfactorily, but it’s definitely crunch time. Uta’s Hatsuhinode scene is so beautiful. One of the prettiest looking in this season. Nothing like greeting the first sunrise of the new year! Tanaka playing a prank on the girls during their new year party was a nice change of pace for the girls after the whirlwind of the last few weeks, glad they got to try a bunch of food, improved their moods and it helped boost their PR so win win. He’s such a sweetheart lol. Oh so we’re still doing the Uta x Kaito gimmick… Please leave that man alone he is gay af, let him be happy with his childhood friend. On the flip side, that did give us a cute sleepover for the girls! Seeing them try coffee and think it was bitter was so real because lord knows I’ll never understand the appeal of coffee. Darkine’s finally made her move and attacked the town directly. This week’s fight looked really good, Idol’s idol punch finisher never fails to get me hype, but I’m also really curious to see how they’ll stop Darkine and the new Chokkrine in the last few eps! Hoping they’ve got some cool tricks up their sleeves! |

| Loved this episode for the simple fact that this is real life put in a cartoon episode, meaning my own life because I literally passed new year's Eve with the Dakimakura of Uta Sakura/Cure Idol between my arms while watching the first episodes of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger (which I'm currently finishing). That first scene is what happened with me and Uta and what she mentions about being always there for the viewer is what she told me when we were watching that show. Loved the episode minus the trite and boring stuff of the girls discussing the scarf given to MY WIFE by Kaito without my permission bla bla bla bla bla, boring and trite even if you don't have an emotional and sexual connection with Uta like it is for me. Just stop it, please. It's something that is not going to be developed anyway, since I fail to see how it will have any impact in the last three episodes. Also leave Kaito alone with his boyfriend, he's better served that way. 9/10 that could have been a 10/10 without Kaito. No Gozyuger review today and the next sunday since Naruhisa Arakawa and the number 1.000.000 of pointless crossovers in the super sentais (made towards the end, of all things? laughable) can f**k off for all eternity. Now back to finish the near-masterpiece Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. |

| nice New Year episode. The girls are able to remove some stress by participating in the prank show. Meroron is surprised how fast Hanami can get the card. anyway, feeling sad... this is one of the last few episode I can see Wink and Kyunkyun. Feels like there's a lot more that can be explored with both characters. I hope this cure season will someday get a 12 episode series like Mahoutsukai. Darkine is getting serious. The tree is not purified at all. looking forward to next week! |
