What just happened? Why does she want to beat specifically 99 games? How do their limbs grow back?

And judging from the characters list, there doesn't seem to be many characters. How will episode 2-11 even work, because who's gonna play the games besides Yuki? Atp I don't mind getting spoiler lol

This is just the first episode so they won't explain everything right away.

As for the limbs, it's mentioned that there's a preservation system, so they can reattached their body parts if it's cut off

chill man, it's the first episode, they're obviously not going to reveal all character motivations and do all the exposition right at the start.

for the reattachment of limbs part specifically, they probably go through some procedure to replace their blood and parts with this stuff called "preservation treatment" that makes their injuries impermanent and have the ability to be fixed.

They use some kind of "preservation treatment" which means no real damage is done.

Why the heck would someone want to play 99 games of this. Seriously, why would you wanna play a death game with such a huge risk if there wasn't a huge payout. She's played over 20 times, clearly she should have enough money to live on forever now.

I also have a lot of questions, but my biggest is definitely that fact that if she somehow still needs money, why the heck would you still play a risky death game over getting a "normal" job when the death game doesn't provide you with serious amounts of money. I could imagine if maybe once wasn't enough money, but this is just insane. It's definitely an intriguing show but it really doesn't make sense so far. Like they live in a "modern" type of world, and yet they're playing death games for money? What heck has happened to make that the best way to make money, how has the world not literally collapsed if you can't live well even after playing a death game 20 times.

Like, here in the real world, I wont say things are easy, not at all, but they're not nearly like this, I highly doubt any of us would still be sane if this was somehow the normal way to make money, I figure society would collapse on it's own from the fact that no one would be working other jobs to keep things going. The show might be intriguing, but it's really hard to find any of this believable at the moment, I'm hoping it can find a way to make itself feel less "forced", in the sense that what happening is more believable and understandable and less like the show is doing it just for the sake of it.

I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

>What just happened?
Watch the anime, this time, with your eyes open.
>Why does she want to beat specifically 99 games?
I don't think they explained that in the first episode, but if the title is anything to go by, then to make money.
>How do their limbs grow back?
They explained that the limbs can be reattached if you lose them in the game, the reason must be similar as to why their blood is cotton, there's advanced technology to reattach their limbs flawlessly.
>How will episode 2-11 even work, because who's gonna play the games besides Yuki?
I would guess every death game will have a different set of characters, seeing some of the character sheets from the novel, it will be exactly like that.

@Suprgamr123 no real damage, except only if they died, right?

that's obviously something that requires further clarification to definitively say, but I'd guess that it's probably something about keeping the brain or vital organs intact.

I guess they fix any dmg, that is not considered fatal after the games. As the players essentially get turned into living stuffed puppets...

And maybe they grant a special wish after 99 games and MC is gonna ask for restoration of all the "dead" characters? Or demands the end of this kind of games, seems fitting for this kind of anime

@Suprgamr123 well only after you survived then your body is recovered. Until then, pains and emotions are real. This is real death game not VR game

@MewsicMagic well Yuki has said in manga that she lost her means in the real life so she wants to join these death games to feel more valuable and become something incredible, after all no one's normal after joining these horrifying thingy multiple times lol

yeah, that's what I said. The real question is what counts as surviving or dying.

@Suprgamr123 well I thought after watching ep 1 then everything is basically understandable, but you are counted survived after you finished what the game needs and are counted dead when you are killed by the game or the other players

@Suprgamr123 I’m going to go out and on a limb and say that dying counts as dying. There doesn’t seem to be anything confusing about it at this stage. People can live just fine without limbs and the preservation treatment immediately stops any blood loss. People can’t live if they get completely blended or have objects shoot right through their brain (although there definitely have been some exceptions for the later where people got very lucky).

SPOILERS (leaving as little major information from the ln as possible)

>Why does she want to beat specifically 99 games?

>How do their limbs grow back?

Well the first episode explains that the preservation treatment makes it possible. If you want a deeper explanation:

>How will episode 2-11 even work

I'm going on a whim and saying 2-3 episodes per game

>who's gonna play the games besides Yuki?

As the anime shows, other young girls. Also:
