Lizel and Gil slowly making up the ranks doing everyday adventurer stuff, eh, seems typical of the Isekai mindset that the former has. And for a quest of a labyrinth that does not kill monsters but solve puzzles that everyone is hammering their brains together to solve the ciphers.

For the one party which Lizel offered his kind help to "suck" their wealth of the labyrinth goods as a way to clear the dungeon and be the first, it's a win-win deal, though at the expense of his own timing. And in the same way, the teddy bear wrapped goods being paid by Viscount Ray for exquisity, though them checking each other is quite the test.

Man, Gil is still kinda of a trainwreck thinking that Lizel is easy-going and easy manipulated, this is not quite so.

He just came to isekai and already make passive income. and with how he use that flying gun, he's definitely not weak. he's sharp witted, careful and can be cunning. he knows how to make use of people. he's the type who could survive anywhere.

For some reasons, there is a pressure for this anime to have a gay sex scene in the second episode. This anime doesn't give in to that pressure, but we all know just because it doesn't happen on screen doesn't mean it doesn't happen...

Anyone notice how this town almost have no woman? Zero female adventurer in the guild. It's a perfect place for Lizel to have his own male harem. Newly added in his harem in this episode are that noble and the C-rank adventurer leader. Expect a lot more coming soon.

PS: Look like this is not isekai after all, but still can't determine if it's the past or the future of Lizel's original world. My gut says it's the past.

Hm, so the "ancient language" is the same for his world. So, indeed, is it a time travel or a coincidence? Or maybe he is so far away that he has no recolection of it being in the same world

Now to wait and see if the BL tag ever eventually gets added to this one or if it's going to go the way of Sk8 or My New Boss is Goofy and pretend like it isn't.

Either way, I'm enjoying it. Lizel is fun to watch.

Liked the episode but I didn't quite get the conversation between them at the end, why did Gil knock the cup and was suddenly mad at Lizel?

Lizel is taking adventuring slowly, and that’s the right approach if he wants to learn more about this world. One month alone isn’t enough, so I’m glad Gil decided to keep him company, not for money, but because everything Lizel does seems interesting.

The one thing I didn’t understand in this episode was the placement of the cup of tea with Ray. It definitely felt like it had some meaning, but they didn’t explain it later.

@amentet i was also making the same comparison to My New Boss is Goofy too, like it's so obviously gay but they say it isn't, it's kinda funny.

Lizel's gun magic was pretty cool and unexpected, and also impressive how it could hit that rat so far away (and makes me wonder if he's hiding his skills to test Gil somewhat, since Lizel complemented him on spotting a single monster before then slaying two more).

The possibility of the world being a different past or future time period for Lizel seems pretty cool too.

Finally, I didn't really understand the final scene when watching (where Gil grabbed Lizel's hand and started hurting him), but then it's apparently that Gil is offended to be paid rather than thought of as a friend..? which would make sense, and it's nice watching them get closer.

I am glad Gil see himself more of a partner then hired gun, so Lizel should rest easy
