We will get some new information on 29th March in Anime Japan Event. Most probably new teaser and release date, it's been 2 years lol

I do not understand how companies think, "Hey, we had a great success when we made that, and the community seems to love it too, let us not think or speak about it for years!"

Let us see what happens now, I guess.

it's pretty risky, either it generates real hype or just a dead fanbase

@Kaiki-SMD1991 to be fair, Nexus is a small studio with barely over 20 personnel compared to other big name isekai.

Additionally, Nexus recently produced "Touring after the Apocalypse" anime as well.

I think it's rather impressive that they had to not only make a quality movie, but also a decent anime in the span of 2 years as a small anime studio.

Nexus is great, yes, they usually worked side by side with other studios to produce shows.

Regardless, I do not believe the entire say of everything falls under the studios' command.

@Kaiki-SMD1991 Definitely not, but they still have to properly finish producing the movie before releasing it. Which is something they had to do while making another anime as well.

I'm just glad Kadokawa didn't rush them to release an unfinished or low quality product.

Most of the canon content of TEIS has been released in the game with the "7 Shadow's Chronicles" and the mega event "Apocrypha: Réquiem for Scattered Shadows" (which is actually really good). And it has been a good success.

I suppose that's why they took their time.

Did the game do that well? I would not have imagined that.

I guess that would make sense, even if there is a part of the audience that did not play the game, there would be far too many who would overlap between watching the shows and playing the game.

That is probably it then. Unfortunate.

My original comment is more broad however, an example is No Game No Life. Just Kadokawa things, I guess.
