Lucy feels more like what people think John Wick is, than John Wick himself

Lot of people like to compare Lucy and John Wick because they both went on rampages after their dog was killed.

However, I recently rewatched the John Wick movie and in many ways, he didn’t really go on an intentional killing spree. He just wanted to kill one person. Everyone else he killed was because they were trying to murder him in the first place. Most of the deaths he caused felt more like he was doing it out of self defense.

Lucy meanwhile legit just starts murdering people, regardless if they’re innocent or not. Idk, I feel like the whole “dog dies, kills everyone” angle works more for Lucy than John Wick.

The only vague similarity is that they both had a dog that was killed. Other than they are literally nothing alike.

First time I see this comparison.

Actually it's a trope to have a character's pet getting killed or mistreated before the character goes on a violence cycle. It's used to demonise the antagonist and shows the character's alienation from the social mass having only their pet left as a friend.

That’s literally the only similarity they have lol. Everything else is completely different. One wants revenge on one person (like you said) and the other wants revenge on the whole humanity for a terrible past unfortunately.
