What’s the probability that the next Jujutsu Kaisen release after season 3 will be a movie?

I’m really excited to watch what comes after the third season.

Very high. What comes after season 3 is the most anticipated and hype part of the whole story, and seeing how successful the Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man movies were, if they don't make it a movie they just hate money. Regardless of whether it would better as a movie or episodes, it doesn't make sense to let go of this chance to make a movie simply because of the money-making potential.

Then after that, they could either do more movies or a single cour. I think the second option would be best.

I’d say it’s got a fairly high chance of happening

I’ve read a lot of speculation on this recently and my best guess is that there will be a movie after season 3 and that we will still get a season 4, or at least a limited season, after that. One movie would definitely not be enough and I think something like a movie trilogy is possible but would take too long. MAPPA liked their weird limited season things so if there is a movie for the beginning of Shinjuku then I think it makes sense they’d do that after.

After the Culling Games it's the final arc, Shinjuku Showdown. The arc is 50 chapters long so a movie adapting it all is impossible. Maybe with a trilogy is possible, but I think they'll just do a final season to end the series and that's it

You think so? In real/run time how long do you think shinjuku showdown actually took? The average movie is about 1.5 hours, and the most recent episode was 28 minutes.

If Culling game gets a part 2, I don't see why the end of the series can't be wrapped up in a single movie, especially if it's a little longer

Since the Culling Games was already confirmed to be split into 2 parts, part 2 will finish this arc. Which leaves us with the last arc. Even if the chapters have a lot of action they'll definitely add more scenes to make the fights more impactful (like they did last episode). So they could go the DS route of adapting the last arc (2/3 movies of around 2-2:30 hours) or a final 12/13 eps season

I think after season 3 there’s a chance we will get 2 movies. One for the event everyone thinks will get a movie, and then I think the rest can also be covered with a movie.

Isn’t the final arc/fight about 40-50chs? The most recent episode was about 4-5 in 28 minutes. Might be hard to squeeze that all into one film!

Thank you everyone. Now I have 99% of certain that would be a movie.
