| One of the best starts in recent memory. It leaves a lot for us to find out about the MC while establishing a fun character. I cant wait to see where this goes. |
| That was a decently promising start! I already like Haiji: his design is solid, he has interesting values, and there is more to his personality than being the main character. He's like a mix of Vash and Sakamoto. I assume we'll meet his correspondent soon, and be introduced to the underworld of this world. The first bar a Jump action manga has to pass is being cool to some extent, which this chapter has certainly achieved. Haiji is capable of aurafarming, and, even though it is basic, I can't get enough of the classic action setting of assassins + guns + mild sprinkles of superhuman but non-supernatural powers. I hope this manga will start to do its own thing one day, but perhaps playing it safe is better early on. I know it's a bit early to speculate, but why can Haiji see lights? His father seems to be able to do so as well, so is it inherited? That implies some sort of concrete power system involving actual powers as opposed to the rule of cool "he's just really good at seeing weak points!!" explanation a grounded action manga would typically go for. Overall, I enjoyed this chapter, and hope that future chapters will keep up in quality. It's fairly strong for a first Jump serialization. Hopefully this will break through the Horikoshi assistant curse and become a long-running series, perhaps even becoming a replacement for Sakamoto Days. |

| Under Doctor was a bit underwhelming to be honest. I had no expectations going in. It took me a few tries to get through this chapter. The first half was u remarkable and slow the second half was much better and easier to get through. I'm not hating it but I'm not in love with it either. |
