What do you all think about this anime adaptation so far as a Light Novel reader or Manga reader? It's this a good or bad anime adaptation based on your current perspective/view point you had in LN or Manga? What part of adaptation so far you like or dislike that's affects your opinion of this anime adaptation? What do you think of the results, performance, and direction that Studio Deen has taken in the production of this adaptation?

I don't really like the route its taking. The lack of emotion and the lack of suspense. The adaptation is trying to make it like a philosophical avant-garde type of show but at the end of the day, It's a death game, its missing the edge and thriller aspects. I don't expect it to be as extreme "Future Diary" but I would appreciate a more expressive portrayal of Yuuki, rather than the detached kuundere demeanor she's currently depicted as. Plus some of the content cut is annoying

legit waiting for the English translation of ln"s vol 5 to drop... It was a good read, They are working in a budget, Haven't cut a lot of things but the fact that Yukki's not a Kuudere... I just hope Vol. 3 is adapted as a movie or a 6-7 episode season.. The Mishiro thingies were awesome, I appreciate the eye candy that the adaption is because it is different from ln which makes reading even after watching worth it and vice versa. Yukki's a completely different person... Legit I think more is added than the dialogue cut out cause they are okay, but the new exploration for the genre is legit fire... Idk why people want a similar slop, It has a high risk of pulling a kakegurui S2 ending but for that lets keep our fingers crossed... I hope S2 gets announced because the later the arc, the better it is... I wanna see cloudy beach and halloween night adapted... There are some interesting characters without faces in ln that I wanna legit see too...

I love it when adaptations take a different approach from the source material, both as an exploration of the story as well as making necessary changes to fit the new medium. I’m not braindead, I can imagine what moving versions of manga panels or descriptors on a page would look like. I have no idea why people always want a 1:1 faithful recreation of the source material…

So yeah, I’ve been enjoying it, a different and unique take on the story.

I think the anime has a completely different vibe and style than the LN or manga. There's much less fanservice and the edgy aesthetic of the original. If I were an anime only person, I'd be surprised to see how manga depicts things.

I read the first two ln volumes, which should be all the season will cover. I like the animation. I like Yuuki's portrayal. Her rarely showing strong emotions in her face of voice is exactly the impression I got from her on the novel, be from the very few illustrations it has but also the descriptions, different from the manga that has her as much more expressive.

I'm not a fan of the (Shaft-like) stylish choices made for the anime, like the faceless visual for some scenes or the character repeating over and over something when they're died or almost died. Nor of some cuts here and there.

Although I'm definitely biased as read the source first so I would likely compare and want more like the original, but also because it means I already know the answers to the mysteries (what the game will be like, what will they face, how they will solve it, who will die) which takes away an important part of the experience and makes even harder for me to like the stylish choices they made, as they seems to be made to give it a bit of psychological thriller feel to the mystery, but which falls flat when you already know.

I've caught up with LN and manga up to anime episode 4 and waiting for the rest to air before reading more.

LN has the most details of the setting, events and character thoughts. It's just a good read, succinct style with some gems of wordplay scattered around. I'd definitely recommend it to those who don't get the setting or the characters from just anime.

Manga has almost word for word LN character lines, so for me added value on the story level is minimal to non-existent. Some background details are interesting, some are questionable. It's made by character drawings with all the cute outfits and cute expressions. Character feeling is a bit different and more cutesy than in LN, which is kind of both good and bad, but mostly just different.

Anime is on a whole another level. The dialogue and some details are actually adapted to the chosen art direction and pacing, it's not a word for word copy. VAs bring the characters to life. Character detail in close up shots is gorgeous, background details are on average better than manga, although some are questionable and completely out of place.
But if you already know the story, anime might be a big miss, because instead of enjoying the suspense you might just tune out.

Out of the three, I'd watch anime first, read LN after, and skip manga. You can get its main appeal, character visuals, from the anime and in color, and the story is less detailed than in LN.

Obviously all of that applies to the JP original. No idea about the quality of any translations.

I read the manga, I find it better, the anime is so emotionless copying Frieren characters who are mostly emotionless, I feel like it's tryna be edgy for the sake of being edgy as well, like what's all this numbers, probably only LN readers would get that shit
