There hasn't been a real episode in the past 5 episodes anyway. This has been hugely overhyped and disappointing so far, coming from the triumphant season 1.

| @Turbotired It's quite literally the more of the same thing from season 1, what are you even talking about lmao It's like you forgot almost every episode leading to a major arc are exactly this very same storytelling beats you are complaining about. It's there's always a traveling arc before any minor (Aura, Divine Revolt) or major (First Class Exam, Golden Land) arc, before it goes back to another traveling arc (sole exception is Divine Monument, which follows Golden Land directly, two major arcs back to back) If you not count the first episode or two, Frieren's initial traveling arc in season 1 took about the same amount of episodes as this one, before Aura came along for the first minor arc in the story (several episodes/chapters in length). If you weren't bothered by the pacing and overarching then, you really shouldn't be bothered by it now. |

| @Geark77 I mean, there's nothing really stopping them from airing the episode on streaming platforms during the Olympics. They don't because they like keeping the air dates in line with the TV broadcasts in Japan. |

| I guess they started using brains and noticed they need more time to make art good (or hopefully better) than season 1 as they are just doing it halfassed and ultra rushed now with very bad attention to details, worse art style than season 1 and duplicating background and scenes multiple times each episode. I rly hope the last episodes will be better than this garbage right now, so I could at elast give it 6/10 episode 5 was a little better but still not good compared to other airing and last year productions, even average ones have better animation. |
