A training based episode. Well, Yashiro had his goal in mind to help his comrades.

Aki is the most excited about this as expected while the others gave their shot. Yashiro is definitely on another level here. However, I found that training session to be comical. Yashiro made them look like jobbers.

Show is surprisingly entertaining. Warming up to characters. All 3 girls are fun to watch.

I am enjoying the dynamic of dedicated students having to pressure the "hero" for training. The explanation for Ed's bar as a relaxing space for braves is a good bit of world-building. And the security guard having an ether malfunction keeps alive the idea that something is bubbling under the surface of the established order.
Also, Indo is super cool.

This episode was a lot of fun, we got to know a lot about the girls and Yashiro is quite a good mentor, loved that part when he just threw Yukine at Saera, super funny.

This was a nice episode to differentiate the three students, and it was sad but funny how he basically called Jougamine useless 😭

They've also really gone for the 'cat-like' vibes with Indou.

The episode ended just as it was racing to something (with the demon lord related?) drug users tresspassing, and I'm interested to find out who the tresspassers tussled with before (maybe Ishinoo?). The post-credits also seemed to imply that a brave died and that Ishinoo wasn't contactable, but I'm guessing they wouldn't kill him off that easily. That would raise the stakes a lot though 😅

Well, thieves kind of upped the stakes at the end here, definitely weren't security. LOL

Weird they just stuck the new guy into the OP and ED. Yeah all these guys are scum. See what these 2 new bad guys are like.

I don't think it'd be weird to kill him off at this stage, but I'm going to be very annoyed if it's actually Ishino's death because if so they straight up told us that themselves already?! I wouldn't mind it being an overly obvious setup if it's someone else, but if it is him that's just horrifying levels of poorly done foreshadowing coming from the show itself.

I assume the most likely candidate is the new brave they just introduced, since nobody is attached to him yet and it would be the safe choice. Personally, I want it to be the bald guy. Not that I have anything against him, but he's the only one left that wouldn't be either way too obvious (Ishino) or a writing cop-out (new brave).

Yukine is the funniest of the three, and the new character isn't bad either, considering the dialogues.

@amentet true, and I forgot about the new brave tbh 😅 but he did also give off death flags where he had retired, but then was coming back to being a brave because he lost his other job.

Will see for next week anyway!

I was also (very lightly) wondering if they'd do a "metaphorical death" where a brave 'dies', but in a way that they're basically Gandalf-The-White 'reborn' with a new personality or outlook. That would maybe be the ultimate cop-out if so (?) and don't think they'll do that, but saying that someone will die in the next episode's title is kind of a funny choice.

So Yashiro is finally (an relunctantly) taking the teacher role and with it we get to see what each of the academy students lacks, though presented in a half assed way. It actually defines the show itself as their relationship and his attitude are pretty much half assed. In any case, it seems like they were not the only ones looking the the academy grounds at night and an E3 fight has started.

The title for next episode sounds ominous.

He actually had solid advice up his sleeve huh. Treating this line of business as a child's game is a surefire way to a very short life. Makes one wonder what the academy is teaching all these and other girls and what's their goal.

The first lesson starts now and it's already a mess, maybe Yashiro is not a great professor after all!
