Yeah, I don't blame others reacting to Mobu. He still gives off creepy vibes.

Looks like Kaya got seperated from her dad this episode and that shopping trip turned into anything but normal. Kay also did a neat job protecting her friend Saku.

Not gonna lie, this anime is really interesting.

It seems like cute slice of life one on the surface but it is partially a true horror as people can die in it or go insane at moments notice.

And the show continues to cook, now we have aunt and mysterious teacher ready to take the scene. Who knows how will this turn out in the end, all in all I am quite exited to see where the story goes next.

Oh, a question for manga readers while on the subject of future storyline...

I don't know the true nature of Kaya, but I do believe that she's just like every children out there, no one are born evil, but a child can grow into a good or bad adult depending on the environment. And both parents and teachers play a big role on shaping children's future.

They skipped the field trip story!!!!! T_T
Yeah, ig they're trying to go full on the Ebisumori stories now...

Nana-sama!!!!!
Yeah, now u know who my best (legal-aged) female chara in the series is... wwwwwww
I mean obv Kaya-chan is best girl, but not in "that" sense IYKWIM... wwwww

But at this pace, now I'm wondering how much are they going to adapt this season? They're deff skipping some contents to prioritize the Ebisumori lore contents. How much are they willing to skip?

I mean, they can't go too deep into the lore this season yet. At least not if they rly want to end this season in a good stopping point.

Mobuo reallyisn't avoiding the creep allegations.

Kaya is such a troll flickering the light on someone who's scared of the dark. Reminds me of that old youtube horror short "Light outs" back in 2012/2013, was super scary back then.

Man, another really strong episode. This show just doesn't miss so far.

A couple of episodes ago I said that it could go to some really dark places based on the Kaya mom situation, and it would appear it actually might actually commit to it

Finally, the best waifu Nana appears, and the episode is as good as ever, and quite instructive, that's what's great about manga: many stories are based on real-life situations and horror.

Plush bunny noooooo!

Kaya is so adorable when she's just playing and being a kid. Moments like squishing the bunny are like Kaya is beating up the spirit of depression over the things that happen in this anime. Stalker Mob is still not beating the allegations, and also not the guy you'd want on your side in a horror movie. Man straight up jobbed out to those mannequins. If I saw the ghost in the dark doing that goofy spider dance, I probably would have tried to join him and broken my back. Poor Grandma.

Banana aunts aren't scary.

I feel bad for Saku but it's kinda hilarious how Kaya was unintentionally terrorizing her with the constant light switching, I mean couldn't she confirm what she needed to know with 2-3 flicks max?

The plot thickens, we got to meet Nana and the grandmother who used to be so elegant and powerful has completely lost it and we got to see a bit of a new character and I'm glad Saku and Kaya ended up on good terms, Kaya got to learn that even if she can protect others she needs to be more aware about their feelings.

Kaya needs to be a bit more aware of others feelings, but then she is just a little kid so mistakes are expected. Poor Saku though, afraid of the dark & being in a situation where she also believes a ghost is around!
What in the 9 Circles of the Inferno is wrong with Grandmother though? Messed up doesn't even cover that. I thought Mom's cursed pregnancy was bad, BUT...

Finally someone else gets introduced into the story who isn't being a "Creepy" obsess stalker to Kaya and might want to help.

Also nice way to intorudce your self to the family Nana...nothing like picking up your Niece without her or the Dad knowing you!

Ep 6 damn obachan is gone and apparently thinks Kaya's mom is too. Aunt seems normal, wonder what is up with that given how all the other women in the family are so messed up.

At this point not having the source material it seems like the mom's side of the family have been cursed because of their psychic abilities.
Is Kaya the beginning or the end of the curse? And if you thought Mobu was creepy his teacher looks like he has taken the Red pill.

Might be Mob’s worst look yet at the start of this episode lol, I get that it’s done as a comedy bit tho, although I do wonder why he didn’t bring any of his ghost fighting tools if he was supposed to be watching over Kaya, because he ended up being the one to be protected when they found themselves in that weird mannequin dimension lol, but nothing wrong with some scares and close calls before Kaya saves the day, she solo’d all of those mannequins from the looks of it. And it was after this when we were introduced to Kaya’s aunt, Nana, or “obananana” as Kaya put it lol, not sure what to make of her yet but it looks like she wants to help the situation with Kaya’s mom/her sister, Mirai, in some way, at least I hope so. And it looks like Mutsu is in very bad shape after her encounter with Kaya, very unfortunate for her, let’s hope what she said about Mirai was just insane ramblings and she’s not already beyond saving.

And the second half of the episode was back at the pre-school with Kaya and Saku seeking out the “punishment room” to beat up a ghost in there. Well they didn’t find the punishment room, but they did find a ghost, a very spooky one at that, the way it went on about whether or not Kaya could see it might’ve been the closest to Mierko-chan we’ve gotten so far lol, it also reminded me of the movie and horror short “Lights Out” which was already mentioned in this thread, since it could only be seen in the dark. That was a nice spooky moment and Kaya dealt with it swiftly, but what she didn’t account for was Saku’s feelings, being her fear of the dark which was not helped by the constant flipping of the light switch. Thankfully tho, Chie Sensei helped Kaya realize the error of her ways and she made up with Saku, a very wholesome way to end this bit.

And lastly, we got teased on Mob’s “master”, and he warned Mob about staying involved with Kaya’s home situation, probably good advice but I fear Mob can never abandon Kaya lol, so I imagine we’ll see the master sometime soon.

Mob needs to be more careful, he almost bit the dust this episode. Nana seems interesting, whatever drove the grandmother insane seems to have been a one time deal so I wonder what caused that and why it hasn't happened to anyone else. It was also nice to get Saku in another semi major role this episode, even if it was just so she could be unintentionally bullied by Kaya. I am also a little sad that the bunny rabbit toy that Kaya won seems to have been left behind at the shopping centre.

If this redditor’s prediction is right then I think probably she is dead and her Dad is trying to feel her Phantom alive.
> Inb4 Kayas dad is Mobs editor/works at the publishing office of his books, so he knows Mob on some level. Likely not, but you never know.

Also if he (kaya’s dad) found out about mob’s books and reached out to the editor.

Mobu needs to not be so much a mouth breather. It's what gives him the creepy vibe lol He was so close to getting screwed over so bad

"obana Nana" sounds too funny xD

I guess we will find more about Nana and that guy in the hoodie soon enough.

kaya is getting unstable. grandma has lost it.
i can only assume that mirai cant see the ghosts, but her family told her about them (likely even when she was pregnant with kaya?)) and she understandably didnt like that and has distanced herself from her family. just my guess.

Okay looks like my hunch about them looking to similar having some sort of reason might be right as it was explicitly mentioned this episode as well and this time it's her aunt who also looks exactly the same. Kaya having a pitch black face when exorcising ghosts seems to be not just a metaphor and might be cause there's something external inside her. The aunt is gonna play a big role for sure. Bte sweet moment between Kaya and Saku. Also Mob's master reminds me of Romm from Mieruko chan.
