 Production company Pony Canyon opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Saenal Park and Team Argo's Overgeared webtoon on Wednesday, revealing the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promo. The anime, titled Tempal: Item no Chikara, will premiere in October 2026.Voice actors Tatsumaru Tachibana (The God of High School) and Asami Seto (Jujutsu Kaisen) are starring as Grid and Yura, respectively. The novel officially began serialization on Munpia in November 2014 and concluded in April 2024. Maru & Maya began publishing the novel with illustrations by HABAN in January 2014 and released the 96th and final volume in December 2024. Team Argo began drawing the webtoon adaptation on KakaoPage in April 2020. Wuxiaworld and Tapas Media published the web novel digitally in English from October 2017 and September 2021, respectively. Tapas Media also began publishing the webtoon digitally in September 2021. Yen Press licensed the webtoon in English under its Ize Press imprint for physical release in April 2023. The sixth web novel volume went on sale March 24 and the tenth webtoon volume went on sale May 19. Synopsis Shin Youngwoo (a.k.a. Grid), an unlucky man in life and a low-level player in the popular VR game "Satisfy," finds a powerful item that earns him a rare legendary class title: "Pagma's Successor." | So many manhwa adaptation lately but all follows the same generic repetitive formula. |
| Hopefully this one gets a good adaptation, unlike TBATE lol.. I’ve got my fingers crossed that they do the source material justice this time. It’s always disappointing when a series with a lot of potential gets rushed or loses what made the original so enjoyable. I’m trying to keep my expectations.. If they handle it properly, it could end up being one of the better adaptations in recent years. Let’s hope the studio learned from the mistakes we’ve seen with other adaptations like OPM.. |

| I've been reading Overgeared weekly for around 4-5 years, I never imagined it would get an anime. For all the people calling it "just another manhwa with generic plot", you're all... kinda right... Unfortunately the start of the story is pretty corny, but later on it actually becomes really impressive, mostly the scale of the story, it balances a cast of around a 100 characters really well with strategic and political aspects. The most impressive thing us that Greed (yes, it's not Grid, but Greed, it's a mistranslation) will go literally from nothing, to building his own Empire with a really steady and believeable progression track. Most manhwa get this progression wrong, but in Overgeared you'll get a side character appear in 2-3 chapters, and a 100 chapters later he comes back and gets intergrated as an extremly important part of their kingdom and they becomes a crucial character for the story, it does this countless times and I'm always impressed how it manages to bring back achievements that would be forgotten in most manga back after 100 chapters and makes every single thing Greed ever does is extremly relevant. It also has one of the most believeable depictions of a video game, Satisfy does seem like it could be a real game in a fictional future with really deep and consistent gameplay mechanics. Most people will bounce off of this, but if they manage to make 3 or 4 more seasons, some people may get really hooked. |

| Nice to see another one from my manhwa starter pack get animated. I sadly stopped reading this because I lost interest but it's still nice to see. If ORV is solid and we can get excellent anime for Player, The Legend of the Northern Blade and The Boxer, manhwa adaptations just might start bringing in the big bucks. |

| @malvarez1 This is actually more closer to sword art online clone than a solo leveling one, with a bit more comedic element to it. Character's a completely normal person out of the game (well, except knowing some martial arts, but nothing a actual strong fighter couldn't beat). |
