Poor Allison kept missing her chance to ask Wil to live with her. I rather enjoyed the episode but alot of questions kept popping in my head. I would think that the villagers are somehow connected to the fire and coup d'etat.

yeah, Noto Mamiko's voice is recognizable in an instant. :) it seems the treasure arc is over, which isn't a bad thing, just I thought it'll be longer. loved the moment when Allison put off sunglasses. those blue eyes... ;)

Good episode. I also think those villagers are probably connected to the fire.

Same here, I recognized her voice instantly but I couldn't match it to any of her other characters.

As for this episode, before I was sad that the treasure arc finished so quickly but I'm glad to see it picking up nicely. A lot of hilarious dialogue from Allison and I hope she gets a chance to pop the question later. ^_^

I liked this episode quite a bit. ^^ This new arc seems really interesting; I can't wait to find out more about the villagers and Fi.

More Ker is always a plus, too. ;P

really good episode, i just had to laugh when the soldier said to Carr "I want to ride on your plane". it just came across to me as a sexual innuendo.

anyhow this new arc is interesting i just hope that they don't tell a good story again and then rush the conclusion.

No matter how you look at it, driving on an iced lake just doesn't seem safe. I liked the episode, nothing particularly amazing, but the ending is promising for the next one.

All the villagers seem to look at the little girl as the boss or at least someone important. So I'm guessing shes the princess that was supposedly killed the fire with her family. She probably survived and went into hiding with whoever survived the fire. The guy on the paper that she saw and started freaked out about is probably the one responsible for burning down the house.

Just my guess, I could be completely wrong though haha.

Allison and Wil make the perfect couple. I cant wait to see another time skip. Apparently theres a manga about their kid so hopefully we will be introduced to her in the last ark of this series.

I actually am enjoying the OP/ED more than the show itself...D:

Only character I like now is Ker, and that's influenced by seiyuu fan-ism. Rather disappointed that this is something by the same author as Kino's Journey, which was spectacular. A&L is really rather mediocre and in danger of a ratings drop if improvement isn't forthcoming.

This episode defenitely started a bit slow, but the second half picked up. I really wish they hadn't ended it at such a cliffhanger like that. it makes me want the next episode right away. Will is a little to dense... but allison is so cute! Benedict is still my fave though. especially with his uber hot voice :3

I would say that based on what I've seen so far, this show is rather straightforward in foreshadowing, so I would guess that it would fit well into what's been hinted.
Therefore, I do think Fi is a princess (possibly one of a pair of twins, as hinted by the symbol) and sole survivor of the royal family, and the village is composed of survivors/loyalists that wish to restore the monarchy. The politician is probably one of the leaders of the coup, and with the distrust the villagers showed, it could be that the Roxche government/military supported him.

As for Allison and Will being shown after getting together, it should happen eventually. The title and early synopsis both point to their daughter having a significant role.

This episode was definitely better than the 4th one, with a very nice imrovement as far as the story is concerned. Really interesting developments I think.

Allison was so cute xDD

I loved so much her trying to talk to Will and then that xDD

And Fi seams to be an interesting character... hmm She's kind of different from the other character till now... Kind of gives a different look to the anime.. hmm Can't wait for the story ;P Just hope it's not another 4 episodes arc u.u

Ice road truckers ^_^ I laughed at the subliminal poster that kept creeping behind the passenger window.

...love how they showed how weak Wil was at drinking hot things, damn wuss.
"Transportation efficiency of goods via aircraft and correlated arbitrary and qualitative expermiental findings." ...i gotta use that line on the womens.

LOL@ the West Virginia backwater town they got stuck in^_^.

5/5 I liked it

me too, I bet that's what she really wanted to ask but she was too shy.

this seems to a be a good series - easy watching, yet it's had a good story line so far... and I was thinking... what could they possible find next to add to the series? Hopefully this new plot wont be disappointing either :) enjoy guys!

It's interesting listening to this show talk about its politics and economics. Upon watching the first 4 episodes, I wasn't sure how this show would go on after ending its war. Usually the war aspect would be the meat of a story, but here Allison and Lillia appears to be dealing more with the after effects of the war's end, which is much more interesting on paper. While the former can draw out a really dramatic story, the latter lends much easier to world building, where we have cases like this where there are isolated villages unaware of a war's condition.

Though, it's in some ways unbelievable that a war spanning multiple years, if not decades and centuries, could be ended within a year upon the discovery of an ancient mural. Granted, its discovery is quite significant in terms of dealing directly with the war's core cause, but it also simplifies the issue of war to a single idea. Pulling examples from other anime, stuff like people's conditioned prejudices, industries making money off of war (arms dealers for example), land ownership and access to resources, political figures and military personnel that may find the war beneficial to their position, and so on. This anime skips over them, and while that may make for a smoother transition into dealing with the after effects of a war, it does ignore a lot of unspoken issues in between the transitions.

Well, this is a fantasy anime after all, so I suppose wars ending overnight isn't the most unbelievable thing that could occur. Oh, and also, Wil and Allison are adorable together. Just thought I'd put it out there.

I think Allison and Wil might be more discriminating in their travels after this. They sit down and have tea with just about everyone they meet, but as this episode illustrates, you never really know the intentions of these backwater villages.
