Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei
| I don't even pay attention to the stuff written on the board. I'd say the comedy is focused on two parts. One is making fun of character archetypes. The other is making fun of Japanese culture. I don't know much about the culture myself but I still found it hilarious (can't remember on top of my head some of the scenes tho.) |
| Every once in a while I'll understand a board reference, but other than that I ignore them. Really, just enjoy everything else, because it really is a good anime. |

| ya i agree u shouldnt worry about it but i personally pay attention to everything written on the board and on signs in the background. some of them are quite funny. as for the culture stuff a lot of the subbers will explain the stuff and i find its a better anime to watch once u have already watched a lot of anime because u will probably understand more of the references and there is more to the show than that stuff as well anyway. all that being said i still think you should continue watching it but then i suggest in the future when you have seen more stuff that you go back and rewatch it thats what i did and now its one of the favorite animes |
