I just played this for 2 days, and what it is to me now, is The worst DJMAX game this far.
i mean, the Classic modes are just 4T and 6T. Now 6 Buttons has been the center of DJMAX for a long time, "ya good it's there" you think. But both of the classic modes are so easy compared to originals. I've already A+ & Full Combo the whole default songlist, only which took many tries really was Whiteblue, which was just the same chart as 6B MX from DPM2 but easier and shorter :/

So no Classic Mode fun for you, what about "the real DMP3 modes" which the game seems to be centered, X.2T modes? Oh boy, if i want to play a "real DJ experience", i play DjHero, which seems to be pretty much the complete source of new modes, you Remix track and use Crossfader to do cool switching effects. Also 3.2T would be perfect to play on a DJHERO controller, 3 buttons and a fader, all is needs. But this is FAR from the "normal" DJMAX gameplay, though 4.2T and Hard-only 6.2T require you to place hands different way, like original 4 and 6, there is still hard DJ thingy going on.
Is that a bad thing then, since every game does spinoffs here and there? Well it isn't terrbile, and could also be kinda fun. But the new modes are somewhat buggy (random breaks here and there), and require almost a perfect condition from your PSP analog, which prevents me from playing those modes on my own PSP, which's analog is somewhat random but is fine for Black Square- like scratch notes, not precise movement.

I don't comment mission mode, seems about the same as P2, It works and challenges, but not the most possible fun way. Also "Trophy" missions, which are plus.

Word about MUSIC, the center of a MUSIC GAME. Now, about half of the songs in DMP3 are just remixes of earlier songs, some are good (ZET, SuperSonic), but most aren't (Desperado, Masai, Outlaw, Sunny Side) since they have so little Remix in them, or are just unloyal to the original song. The other half consist of Technika 2 and Original songs, which are about the normal after-technika1 DJMAX music. There is less Korean languake in the game than in previous releases, must be because the game is now an international release.

I'm still going to play through it, but mainly because it IS a djmax game, and my PSP is out of fun since i completed djmaxes and disgaeas.

Did it please your expectations and hype about it, or fell just like me? Comment about it.

I like it for the most part, but I do wish 8-button mode was still there. I agree that the new system of play is a ripoff of DJ Hero, but it seems to be ported nicely to the portable. I have a PSPGo, so the game works well with the joystick in comparison to the nub on the other PSP's that was always a bit of a hassle. The music is alright, but sometimes it feels that the remix part of the songs actually detracts from them. Overall, I expected a bit more from the game, but at least it's a step in a new direction.

Kinda enjoy it although the majority of the soundtrack aren't all that impressive, there's a few I like but that really all about it.
